He's scored more points in the past six races than anybody else, so if Mercedes keep up their argumentative ways...

Mere words cannot do Dan Ricciardo's achievements justice! It was the performance of a true Champion. The way he managed his tyres and the pace reminds me of Alain Prost, who was the greatest Grand Prix driver of all time (and someone I had the great pleasure of racing against). Three wins from six races in a car that's short of horsepower is outstanding. It's really good practise for fulfilling his dream of being 2015 World Champion. He makes me so proud to be an Aussie. Well done fella! Cheers JB

See? I'm not the only one!!!!

Christian Horner says Red Bull had not expected Daniel Ricciardo to be as competitive as he has been this year.

Ricciardo won his third race of the season in Belgium last weekend and has outperformed his world champion team-mate Sebastian Vettel all year. He joined from Toro Rosso over the winter and Horner said Red Bull had not expected him to be doing as well as he has.

"In all honesty, we never thought he would be as strong as he has been," Horner said. "We knew he was fast, we knew he was a very good racing driver, but I don't think any of us - not even Daniel - knew how good he was going to be. His confidence is sky high, he's come in with now pressure and he's driving beautifully right now. He's very economical with the car and tyres and the pace is very good."

Horner was also keen to point out that Red Bull had won on tracks that should have suited the more powerful Mercedes cars.

"We've won in Montreal and Spa, which are the two most unlikely tracks we would have picked pre-season. All we can do is focus on ourselves and go race by race. It's remarkable that Daniel's won only one less race than Rosberg this season."

    Hey Mr Dee Jay....
In theory the Red Bull Renault should get blown off up the straights... By the Mercedes, the Williams anyway... Hard to keep cars behind when they can just pull out and blow on by.. Without the need for DRS...

Strategy is king here.. Qualify top 4, have the 2 Benzes wreck each other at the first corner, fight Bottas for the win :D

    Sorted :D

Why, oh why, do you keep making a fool of yourself? I thought you were smarter that that.

Did he beat his team mate?

    Let me check..........................................

Ricciardo's immense talents transcend all boundaries. :D

I voted to maintain the Imperial Subjugation of the Scots... I think it's jolly well good for them. You guys are really missing out down there. Feel free to come back any time. ;)

I'm not making a fool of myself. No one with a brain predicted Ricciardo would beat Vettel.

You predicted he would. nuff said.

I'm not complaining that he's beating Vettel....I think it's great.....awesome, in fact. A bit of karma for Mark maybe too.

But, I am surprised...and NOT because of driving ability, but because Vettel built that team around him and they loved him and favoured him previously. How much is that worth in terms of lap time?

His performance is beyond my expectations too, but I am extremely pleased to see it and so impressed by the way he handles himself - he is such a great ambassador for Australia and also very good for F1, which has seen far too many prima donnas.

And what a driving talent, only a question of when, not if, he becomes a WDC.
