If I buy a set of Challenge wheels do my existing bolts fit or will I need new ones, in pictures the bolts look like they need a hex driver rather than a socket?

F430 Challenge wheels are centre locks - you'll need new hubs or adapters.

Correct. If he is talking about the CS wheels I would suggest the Ti bolts from Ricambi (Hill Engineering bolts). They are almost 1lb per corner lighter than stock and they aren't that expensive.

My guess would be that he is referring to the 19" challenge style wheels not the actual 18" challenge wheels from the race cars.

I believe the standard lug bolts will work but I may be mistaken.

Agreed that is probably what he meant.

    430 Challenge are 19" centerlock
360 Challenge are 18" BBS wheels, they take lug bolts
CS wheels are 19", they take wheel bolts
(note: these were also an option on the 430)

If the OP does mean Challenge Style wheels then the stock bolts will fit.

Standard bolts will fit Challenge style wheels. The hex bolts are titanium bolts - I bought a hex drive to fit my torque wrench from my local auto parts store.

Apologies, I should have made it clear that I am referring to the Challenge style wheel that was an option on the F430. I have TPMS on my car, will changing the wheels cause any issues?

I have a 2008 spider that I factory ordered with the challenge style wheels. They came with the ti bolts from the factory. You need a 17 mm hex socket to remove them, it is available from snap-on tools. As far as I know the earlier ( pre 2008 ) challenge style wheels are not compatible with tpms, at least in the Ferrari literature said it was not available with this style wheel but in 2008 itpms was mandated as a required as a standard safety feature on all automobiles sold it the USA .

Does your 2008 F430 Challenge wheels have TPMS?

Yes my model year 2008 F430 challenge wheels came with TPMS.

Reading the earlier posts to this thread, I should clarify that my car is a F430 spider for street use so it has the challenge style wheels, not the race wheels with the center knock offs used on the track only race car.
