When in 2006, Richard Losee crashed his Ferrari Enzo (the rather famous "targa" version and known as the Enzo with the highest milage) tragedy turned out to be the starting point for something special and spectacular: a trip to Bonneville. More of the story here:

Ferrari Enzo – Fastest Ferrari Ever Is Crashed and Re-Built Hitting 238.780 mph – RoadandTrack.com - Road & Track

And since I find this a fascinating story about a fascinating piece of Ferrari-history, I have commissioned a model of it. Monza Models / Gijsbert Achterberg took a BBR kit, made all the necessary modifcations and this is the end result.

Well, even if it is 'ugly' and doesn't really serve a purpose in its landspeedrecord layout, it is still pretty darn cool, no?

I was referring to the Bugatti being ugly, not that Enzo. :)

Neat article in '74 or so in R&T (Ferrari on the Flats, I think) about Graham Hill and Paul Newman on the salt flats in a 512M and a Daytona...

Running at Bonneville is very different. Until a Bug goes faster there under the clock and the rules I'd say no it isn't.

A Veyron has a bigger engine. It would be in a different class.

An Enzo is in engine class C and a Veyron is in engine class A. Big difference.

Yes, I know it was a real car.

Just saying that this thread is about the model, not about the merit of the prototype.
