okiedude and DF1, Thanks for the comments on my car. When I was in the search mode I had my short list of wants; records, no mods, center hub knock offs, US market car, colors I did not want and a good PPI. You know the drill. When I came upon this Grigio Testarossa that met all of my wants, I wasted no time flying across the country to make it mine. I have really enjoyed the car and it has been everything I had hoped for. In the ad I kept the description to the basic facts. If anyone wants to know specifics of the car or information on it's service history just shoot me a PM or contact me at [email protected]. Loren
Tough color . . . in what way? I don't claim to be an expert, but Grigio is my favorite all-time color on 80's Ferraris. Perhaps I like it for its rarity as well as its ability to tone down some of the "flashiness" on certain models. I am currently in the market for a Grigio 328, but there just haven't been any worthwhile examples to surface in quite some time.
By "tough" color, I mean there are not exactly a bunch of them running around. I know the Fchat TR registry is by no means complete, but they don't rank very high on the color chart. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/boxers-tr-m/141513-testarossa-512-tr-f512-m-registry-17.html
OK, copy that. Your choice of words like "tough" and "don't rank very high" convey a different message. Since I am in the market for a car of this color, I am always interested in hearing other people's opinions. As I eluded to before, this shade of grey on the '80's cars is stunning. I saw a Grigio 328 in person probably 20+ years ago and I have never gotten it out of my mind. Two thumbs up from me Loren. GLWS!!
I guess I could have used different adjectives. There is always room for improvement. Free bumperooski!
I am not a big fan of the Testarossa in general, but I think it looks great in this color! Something cool about this extravagant looking car in such an understated color. I am digging it Good luck with the sale.
Stunning and cheap !!!!! This should sell fast on you, with a service too boot ..... Now is the time to pull the trigger if anyone is looking. Love the color combo, very sleek looking. Great history on the car ..... GLW the quick sale !
The ad was from January. I inquired some time ago and it was sold, however GrigioTR gave me some good advice and I since picked up a gray 512TR. Andrew
I inquired while back and it was sold to the first guy who saw it in person. A true give away price if you ask me.
Stunning looking car. Love the color, the TR atracts enough attention to itself, the grey helps on the subtleness. Great price also, on a serviced car. GLWS
We all have different taste but for me charcoal(gray) cars were never appealing to me. For me it's a dull color.
Anyone can find a red Ferrari. It takes time and care to source a color that is understated and still shows the lines of the car. This is just about the best I have seen in a TR. Well done and you will have no problem selling this car.
