Not saying what you are saying or misleading or confusing the facts is trolling. I don't have any problem with the root topic, it is just how some have gone about it.

When trolling for fish you put a bunch of lines out and cover as much ground as you can in the hopes of getting a bite.

Which would include baiting for a response. Not baiting anyone, inciting anything, simply ongoing feedback on my purchase experience.

Not true...in fact, not even close.

I am surprised you are implying that I am trolling or trying to pick a fight for the sake of picking a fight.

I have been posting nothing short of logic in this thread. It shocks me that you see it otherwise.

You should pay closer attention to WilliamH in the P&R section - that is your prime example of trolling/flaming/inciting, but it's obvious he gets a free pass.

Well if Fabspeed do a special on 360 Headers I would buy a set. Nothing wrong with the skills of Asian tig welders they are awesome. $1800 a set would be a great deal and they would get my support. :)

guilty conscious or what, why do you think that is directed at you?

funny you think WilliamH gets a free pass, but that said P&R isn't for thin skins.

I'm pretty sure there was evidence awhile back that the Fabspeed F355 2.7 header was the exact same as the JIM Taiwanese versions. It wouldn't suprise me if they used the same supplier for other products.

In their defense, they do weld a Fabspeed logo to their 2.7 headers.

Lol...you're kidding, right? Here are your exact words, go back 1 page if you think I am making this up:

You have access to my PM box, right? Go through it, you won't think it's funny when you see how many big names and how many average joe's on this site believe that this is the case.

there is all different levels in this thread, most would probably fall under the category of not inclining Fabspeed to post much, but only some would fall under pure trolling.

I can't believe you have been around FerrariChat so long, but understand it so little. For one, I have never seen someone's PM ever, unless it was sent to me or more common, someone will respond to a PM notification email and don't change the address to the user from my system account. PM's are called Private for a reason. Second, you have a complete lack of understanding how P&R and moderators work. Only Agent Penguin has more discussions in the moderator forum than William. I also believe WilliamH has more moderations than any other active users on FerrariChat. That said I don't think you are grasping the P&R is a pretty wide open zone where *****s need not attend.

I think that's an overstatement. There's very little trolling here, just plaintive cries from YOUR MEMBERS for one of YOUR SPONSORS to come clean about a claim they make for products they want to sell to us. That's not trolling. Was Ralph Nader a troll? (OK, bad example) But bottom line here is folks want to know the answer to one simple question, and Fabspeed refuses to reply. That's not the best way to get the guys here to lay off. (Pun absolutely intended.)

P&R is a cesspool. I asked Rob a couple years ago to remove my access, and I've never looked back. I don't miss it, I don't want to see it, and I'm not going back. Having said that, the Fchat Police thread does seem to have a large number of posts there referencing P&R transgressions.

WilliamH is amusing, and well known for his off the wall opinions. He's not a troll, he's quirky and perhaps eccentric, but not a troll.

Talk about picking a fight. This isn't P&R, and has no correlation to anything in it.

I've been reading this thread since day one. I have no dog in this fight and own nothing from Fabspeed.

I think this dead Horse has been beaten beyond recognition!

I'd say there is enough info on this thread to allow new users/buyers to make an educated decision.

Why is everyone still waisting time on this topic, let's put the clubs away. "Next"

    Just my two cents!

I'm starting to agree, but Fabspeed is going to make a post, that will probably wrap things up and leave them where they are whatever the position. Like religion and politics, you can talk about it all day, but I doubt it is going to change anyone's position.

In my opinion that is all that is being requested of them, and to be fair to them that may help clear some things up as well.

Looking forward to their post, hopefully all will be satisfied (but like you said, that is doubtful).

Personally, I think they would be crazy to post an honest and full response as it would appear it could be something that could be used against them for litigation purposes.

That being said, if they are really interested in being transparent, they only need to answer one question it would seem:

Do your products that are advertised as "Made in America" meet the FTC's definition as set forth on the websites previously linked hereto? If they answer yes, they should also be prepared to explain how so.

It's really not a complicated issue and anything less now that they have expressed a desire to clear the air would only be deemed as further obfuscation.

I'd settle for a vague apology for any and all questionable practices that may have resulted in less than ideal customer relations. Fat chance.

I heard their parts were made using child labour in Cambodian Orphan slave camps located in malaria infested swamps. Makes me treasure the stuff even more.

As long as it's not union made I'm fine with it. Everyone I know either wants a FabSpeed header or has one.

It has been our long-standing standard shipping practice for our fulfillment associates to place "Fragile - Handle With Care", "Made in USA", and "Install Instructions Available Online" stickers on every box that we ship out from our facility. We are now revisiting this procedure and are going to make sure that anything we do moving forward is in full compliance with FTC regulations and guidelines. Any potential oversight in this regard is regrettable, and we apologize for any confusion it may have caused.

The simple fact of the matter is that well over 95% of our product line is fully manufactured right here in the United States. We have adopted lean manufacturing principles in our operations, modeled after Toyota methodology. Our quality systems are evolving around ISO 9001 Standards. There are a few pieces, parts, components, and assemblies that we source from certified global vendors (just like most other manufacturers in our industry) in order to keep up with demand and in order to maintain the level of quality that we require. Without exception, 100% of Fabspeed's performance products are designed, engineered, and tested right here at our facility in the USA. As mentioned, a VERY small percentage of products and components - after being designed and tested here - are given to our manufacturing partners for production. We then receive these parts and finish the assembly and quality control back here at our facility. Additionally, as we grow, we are continuing to become more and more vertically integrated. We’re constantly adding new machinery and equipment and moving more production in-house.

As a quick aside, I also want to address some of the comments that some people have made that we are simply "ordering parts and opening boxes", and that other companies are selling the same products. The fact is that we have had a number of our products blatantly copied by competitors, which is the risk that is run anytime you release something publicly. We have actually had a number of instances where "accounts" have ordered one or two of our parts and then disappeared, only to pop up a few months later selling the same product under their own label. Every product that we sell has been designed right here by our engineers, so make sure that you're actually buying an original when you do your product research.

Anyway, in an effort to be transparent, forthcoming, and honest with everyone here on the forums (and anywhere else for that matter), we filmed a quick walkthrough of the shop and facility here so that you can see the breadth of manufacturing capability and expertise that we have on-hand:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_zcpiuDyEc

We will be producing a more in-depth video along these lines in the coming weeks, but hopefully this helps settle some of the questions that our detractors have been hurling around on these forums in the meantime.

I'd like to also take a quick moment to let every one know that we will be hosting an open house event and exotic car meet here at our facility on Saturday October 4th. We cordially invite all of you to stop by to see the shop, and to meet some of our talented engineers and craftsmen who dedicate themselves to designing and fabricating Fabspeed's performance products. There will also be some great door prizes being raffled off, as well as food and beverages provided.

Here is the link to get more information or RSVP: https://www.facebook.com/events/281827165342751/

We sincerely hope that everyone here realizes that our number one priority is providing a superior product and a superior customer experience. We are a relatively small company, but we are very passionate about what we do and we're growing very rapidly. We look forward to sharing the journey with all of you and to continuing to innovate and produce products that we stand behind and believe in.
