    With or without fees?

BTW, the timing of the conversion makes a difference. Just a week ago, all other things equal, the exact same sell in pounds would have been $7k or so higher in USD.

That's a lot for a 25th, even with 2600 km, but this #ZA9C005A0KLA12923 has for sure found a new home where it will bright !!!

Reading the previous posts, I want to comment one that will recognise himself... I can speak easily of the 25th as I've owned one 20 years ago when many on this board were not able to afford a Lamborghini. It was then my 2nd Bull. Since I've owned several Bulls... so I keep a eye on the market daily.

    Only in 2014, I've already inspected 7x Countach 25th...

This week I will inspect another one with 32.000 km red/tan, for sale for close to half price of that British rocket... I don't care if it has 2.600 km or 32.000 km, I just want to enjoy it and to drive it, that's all matter !

So 375, plus transport, plus import duty if traveling overseas, plus, whatever it needs, if anything. If coming in to the US you are at 390 without even trying. And that's if it stayed private. If it went to a dealer for a profit on sale - oh heavens.

Why have interest in a car you have no respect for? Why seek out 7X 25ths if you feel they are are a poor value, how do you enjoy that? Does the perspective change when it comes time to sell the valueless Countach? If I were a betting man, I would put my money on everyone else caring whether the car had 2,600 vs 32k klm in relation to its value.
I don't understand the bashing by those trying to acquire one.

I don't really understand you, you are mixing pleasure of driving & ownership with market value... are you a speculator, shaking his hands that his model is raising its value ?

Are you like so many people who don't put mileage on their Bull ?

Just one example, only 2 : my ex Jarama GTS, I put 62.000 km on its tacho within 6 years... my ex Gallardo Superlegerra, I put 35.000 km in a year & half... see what I mean ? These are cars built to be driven, not to be stored to keep their mileage low in order to expect more money when to resell it !

The 25th is the mass production Countach... it has nothing to do with the low production Countach like LP 400, S1, S2, S3, that's why I consider it should stay under the price level of 200.000 €, that my opinion, the opinion of a lambo owner & user, everything else is pure litterature !

And this has nothing to do with no respect for... I'm sure that I respect even more than you the Countach 25th... because it is the only Countach I sit correctly in compared to the previous Countach.

Yes, I've enjoyed the 7th previous I saw this year, but NONE was matching my expectations in terms of quality/mileage/asking price... if you can't undertsand that, that's a problem of someone who never face the fact to select a car to buy.

    Peter,

Unfortunately, its the way it works in the marketplace:

Potential buyers talk values down, potential sellers talk values up.

These cars have grown on me a lot recently. Just from pictures, never got a ride but have seen them live. Perceptions change and an open mind helps.

You really ought to drive one for a day. If its a well-sorted example (the proviso with ANY variant of Countach), it'll be an eye-opener. The 25th is the best handling/driving/performing Countach. Yes owners of ther variants will cry "not so", but unlike most, I can say this in a completely unbiased & dispassionate manner, having owned every variant ever produced by the works: LP400 (4), LP400S S1 (3), LP500S (2), LP5000QV DD (1), and 25th (2). Interestingly, the 25th was the only Countach variant where I felt comfortable seeking terminal velocity (somewhere far far away), and at that speed it felt rock-solid. Stands to reason it was so good, it was at the very end of the model's development and came to be after 14 years of Countach production. 3-Time World Rally Champion Sandro Munari helped set up the final spec. The car is truly and insiders revelation, disguised by its flamboyant Pagani bodywork. Its an automotive gem.

That's the reason I started this thread!

As the fishing analogy goes: ride in one well-driven and you're hooked, drive one, and you're dragged into the river rod-first...

BUT JOE, YOU'VE ONLY HAD 1 DD, WHAT IF IT WAS SET UP ALL WRONG!!!!! jk, jk

I'm on board. They are a gem that still has a bit of hair on it in peoples minds for whatever reason. And for that its still (relatively still) a bargain in the Countach world. I just love the earlier body work.

While I don't seek terminal velocity ever, sometimes you forget how fast your going.....

I can say that a DD feels SOLID through the gears, that is all. Now stopping on the other hand is where your heart comes into your throat, and not because your stopping so fast it gets dislodged.... All part of the excitement of riding the bull, literally it feels that way sometimes. I bet an Anni feels more solid on this end of the equation.

Again, I feel these DD cars, anni or otherwise are extremely special. People still do not realize what this engine really is. It is the only, 4V down-draft V-12 ever put into a car period the end. It is the epitome and the end of an era literally for Carbourated engines. Something that is still not accounted for in their price IMHO.

Stanzini and Wallace would have killed for that setup in the first place.

:) I'm not sure I remember what its set-up was like, but I can say this: I bought it nearly-new in the 80s, I drove it every chance I could at speed over thousands of miles, and it felt great. But later, I drove a 25th, and it felt better.

Below here we are it Goodwood circa 1989. I remember a brand new 25th pulling away from us with ease..

Awesome+Jealous. Those pics are gorgeous. Love no wings. Those lines!!

Every cars got its own character thats for sure. I would love to see what a side by side race would have been like. I bet to 100-125 or so the QV takes the Anni from a weight standpoint before the aero on the 25th starts to come into play. From a mad dash above that to Vmax, I'd put money on the Anni all day long.

Oliver I don't mean to come across as attacking you and starting a pissing match. They only end with bulls**t being tossed around and a wrecked thread.
Yes I am like so many people who don't put many miles on their bull. Pleasure of driving and ownership are what you choose to make of it, market value is what it is.
Seeking out the quality, with your acceptable mileage that meet your expectations, imo is the only way to find a Countach that will leave you with no regrets. I totally get buy low sell high, many make a comfortable living from this, but once the market has started to move you get on when and if you can.
As far as your two examples, I tip my hat to you. I am too busy with work, two young boys, wife, projects, health, on and on and on to be as lucky as you to have that much seat time.
With respect to the 25th, I respect it for far more than being able to fit in the seat, but here we go, now that this fact has been revisited once more the 25ths value may have just crept higher again.:)
Inspecting 7 Countachs and keeping your expectations is great. We all know the deals are out there, you just need to find it. Best of luck with your Countach hunt, many aren't fortunate enough to experience that alone.

In our life, I learn we lived several chapters... there is often a before and an after something...

    I've a wonderful wife & 4 kids, a business, a hobby and a passion.

I know we can disappear in a "fingers click"... life is too short, there is "luck" you can afford to spend more time with your Bull or your family, it is a question of priorities, well that's what I learn, when I decided that my business is no longer "The Priority" as I thought 25 years ago.
