I have it on authority that the 25th in SoCal red/tan sold for $400k, and there is an ebay listed black/black for $400k with 18k MILES and a non original radio. I could be wrong, but judging by the pictures, the paint looks like it needs correction by a very good (read: expensive) detailer or repaint. I do not know this car, but I'm merely pointing out that if you want to be in this market, it seems in the US at least, $400k is now the minimum, and that is not even getting a perfect or perfectly original car.

    ciao Olivier
are you looking to buy an anniversary? :)
cool! when you got one, i want a ride in it!

p.s. i remember some time ago you were thinking about a diablo roadster purchase, i think any countach would be a better buy than a diablo. totally unbiased opinion

The 89 I just got is UNDER $400k, and considering the excellent mechanical condition it is in currently...worth every penny of my asking price, IMO.

Just in this weekend and now available. 1989 Lamborghini Countach. 45k KMS. Over $85k JUST spent at George Evans, FULL engine out service and more, (which is still covered under Evans Warranty as well), to make this probably the best sorted 89 Countach on the market today IMO.

    $389,888

Sorry Emilio, I think you may be waiting a while...

Olivier says has looked at seven (7) 25ths, so clearly he is just getting warmed up. There are so many 25ths available, its really hard to decide.

However, once he declares he is up to 20 cars or so I'd say you can prepare for a ride. But that would only be after he has inspected the one that lives on Mount Etna in Sicily. That one is a special color and the owner will make a deal at half market value.

Hope you & yours are well.

Chad, the So Cal car had aesthetic appeal and I'm not surprised it sold. I wont comment on numbers, but they are what they are!

Despite values they are still getting used. here is a nice one at Zandvoort's Supercars day the other weekend, driven there all the way from Germany.

WOW...someone should FLY over there today!

Get it inspected, BUY it and bring it home to the USA...even with the cost to get it here...HELL at half price of market price.. its a no brainer to re-sale and make some money...guess the current owner is not aware of market values OR could care less about his selling price?

Anyone need to borrow my reward miles for the airplane trip ticket?

    LOL oh the games....

    Emilio,
Joe may be right... I have to warm up... for the 20 years I didn't have my marks in a 25th... so I must adapt myself in that tinny interior, since the souvenir of my personnal 25th is vague !

But in Sicily... Emilio, the only 25th belongs to a Mafia godfather... do you know if he bought it from Joe (since he sells most of the Countach on earth) ? if this is true, I'm sure to avoid that one...

    GOOD ONE Olivier!

If it is, I am sure it has "no needs".

Guys, let's not do the broker / dealer infighting. Don't we all love the same cars.

I'm biting my tongue on something to keep the peace.

Chad, all the money in the world can't buy one a sense of humor!

    My point was well-made.

Meanwhile, 12460 is a very early example of a 25th:
    Lamborghini Countach | eBay

However, going back a few years, it had its original Alpine CD unit:

    Keep up the good work!

    Thanks Joe.

I wonder why the original Alpine would have been yanked recently. Maybe they still have it?

The production numbers of the LP500QV is basically the same as the 25th yet you make out the 25th as the exception in this and other posts. And to take this a step further, it is also just opinion that "mass production" equals a price point.

Call a spade a spade. For whatever reason (I don't care), you are personally not a fan of the 25th - we know that already and that's cool.

That model (7903) has a terrible history of laser issues. Could be a reason.

    If I remember correctly:

    5000QV = 610

    25th Anniversary = 657

That's about right Mike, roughly the same number of QVs were built relative to 25ths.

Speaking of price-point, the sale number last week on the RM car was £224,000.

    1990 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary | London 2014 | RM AUCTIONS

However, as you'll appreciate, this was a late-production 1990 car, a DD 25th with just 1,615 miles (2,600 kilometres) from new. In fact, the car was so 'new' that it still had the production sticker in the windscreen, and the paper cigarette lighter tariff attached!

Depends on what you want to use it for. Museum piece, sure. Driver car? No. If you want to drive it, you'll probably have dry seals and need to do a lot anyway. Speculation of course. Recall my post that to get this car in to the US you'd be at 390 anyway. Not that much of a "deal" in my opinion.

I like it, you never give up Joe, as I don't...

I just return you the compliment and it seems to hit the target.

BTW : I'm not a trader like Joe, as it was written, and I like the 25th better than the others because I can drive it like I want because it is more roomy, that is not the case with the earlier Countach models. On the other side, the early cars as I listed didn't included either 5000 S & QV... and I make a difference in price market between all these models, that is not difficult to understand !

Let's go back to infos sharing !

For a 2600 km dd? In the current market, I think it is well bought.

right that's the point I was trying to make, if in fact DD cars command a premium to FI.
