Nooooo... it exists to be driven!

Looking at it simply as "ART" then yes, it should be in a museum. Thankfully, these works of art were meant to be driven so all of one's senses can fully appreciate what has been created.

As my son said in a prayer when he was three: "Lord, Thank you for cars and trucks and jeeps. Amen"

Thanks Michael and all for your comments, appreciated.

We will be finished tomorrow lacking only a few details but they can wait until after Saturday-at least we will be there which is nothing short of amazing and Kevin and the Lads have really pulled out all the stops this week.

I just hope she works as well as she looks, the parade lap is somewhat of a public moment and as I said, not only have I not driven it, no one has!

There will be issues but hopefully those will show up at the shakedown.

Very, very sexy. I'm so excited right now. I have been watching this build forever. It's been nice watching a build where the time is taken to post progress and hasn't just ended and vanished. I think I will be sad once it is over. This thread is part of my daily routine and I have seen every page of it lol. This is my ultimate dream car, there will likely never be something to watch like this again. The build is the sole reason that I joined ferrarichat. Thank you for taking the time to share this with us. I really appreciate it.

I joined the forum a couple days ago just to read this thread, it's taken me 2 very productive days, what an enjoyable read.
I too would purchase a book if it were ever made.
I've subscribed for daily updates, very much looking forward to more and maybe one day seeing this car out on track.

Thank you for coming along on a journey I never imagined would take the path it has but your daily ritual is safe. After Silverstone we have detailed finishing, shakedown, retuning, dyno revisit and then the Evo test, so this thread has legs.

Never in my wildest dreams when I started this thread somewhat reluctantly, until Mike James suggested I undergo a rethink, did I imagine we would be over 550,000+ hits at this stage of the story. Thank you Mike for the coercion!

This is such a feelgood thread, it should be nominated thread of the year!

Congratulations Tim on a wonderful project and I wish you a great time at Silverstone!

We are done, at least good enough for Silverstone and the Parade tomorrow. I hope. quite a few details still to be tidied up after Saturday, but we are just about there.

Im sure even Jay Leno himself would be amazed at the level of detail put into this car.
Hopefully it will make its way here to CA to be displayed at some concours.
Have any of the LM been restored to this level? When done, this is truly a museum peice of work.

Been following this project since day 1 , I'll be there tomorrow as one of the helpers for the Ferrari Owners Club. I will be guiding the Ferraris into position ready for the parade. Say Hi if you see me! Big guy with no hair ! Will be wearing White Ferrari shirt, Rumour has it we have 1000 cars registered! Going to be a busy day. Got camera ready. :)
