Good thing I decided to drive my scooter that day as someone took my ferrari parking spot with their own ferrari.
Not sure I'm a fan of the time attacks, but aggressive spec nonetheless. Photos copyright PatrickC. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'd like to see them, too. The Scuderia spit out quite big flames. I hope the Speciale does the same.
Been away a long time. 19th Fcar. No red, no stripes, just that gorgeous hood crease complex. Exterior has eyebrows, f/r aerodoors, caps in CF, Argento, done with my son. Interior done with my daughter, knows extracampionario like I do. Space cloth dash/kicks. Full leather seat bolsters, dash, dash bumps, pillars, wall. Alcantera roof and seat inserts with red behind perforations, and red horses and stitching. Daily still rarer, dynos more, scares 4 of my best friends rather than just one. Fun. Like cars I've seen here. Haven't had an 8 in 13-14 yrs, only my 3rd. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice. Lots of EC available. I've gone ape on last 4-5 cars, long before Atelier, one-to-one, etc. Interiors as yours are the most fun, paint to sample. Limits on paint to sample in my experience, spent many weeks FedEx'ing painted panels back to Maranello a few years back, they couldn't do it. Dealers generally have no clue, or at least mine doesn't. Nicole Benker and Anna Lenzi helped me in past, couple people at factory. Anna now at factory, haven't needed anything difficult, so EC forms and pics adequate. They do say no various points. Spec mostly leather stuff, not idiotic like Porsche. Interesting. I tend to do the same. Ironically they say "no" to me at times for items I feel are pretty simple and basic. For example on the Speciale I wanted to do some things with the steroa speakers and they said no. I also wanted to change the transmission buttons outline from Red to White and they said no. Same thing with brake calipers. They claim they don't have paint in White that can withstand the heat, which is hard to believe...
The "NO" is emphatic, random, and baffling. On 599, they refused 2 tone alcantara wheel, and upper dash in alcantara. WTF, it's standard on Speciale? Refused a similar script thing on a Superamerica too. Guess they lost all the header paint from F1 cars that was white and very heat resistant for the brakes? Yet they do some of the most tasteless things I've ever seen, bordering on clown cars. PS for the guys that wanted flames-They all spit flames and glow rotors. Take brave friend and cell camera, place them in braking area at end of a nice stretch, and try it at dusk. Do NOT run over your friend looking at them rather than road. That was funny! It's so true. Some if the things they agree to should have a "tasteless tax" attached to the MSRP. Maybe put it under "Other" which to this day I still can't understand. I think they make up the pricing as they go when it comes to EC.
I never asked. They were 15% light for me, so glad they make it up. Homelink was mindbuster for them. I ordered it before appeared on 599 list. On/off for a bit, I just like integrated. Got homelink, a grand (ludicrous but cheaper than electrochromic mirror ) and 3 months after I got car, they fedex'ed a glossy owner's pamphlet on Homelink. Didn't order homelink on Spec They are good about emailing when you have complex request, and I always send annotated pictures in Italian with color codes, etc. Usually get a pic back with something crossed out and choices listed in Italian. But they ask. Do not let our friends guess. PS, like the tacky tax. maybe a fund for the blind donation? I had a 50k Other one time.
