As I've written in the other thread on Marchionne in this section: Alarm bells are ringing!

As long as he does not make any more 328's I'm ok with it. I'd love for the 458 to drop faster in the used market - more for me!

While the list is long in the US is the demand high world wide?
When Luca announced this year's production projection there was speculation that it was lowered to reflect a decrease in demand. Particularly in Italy where a ramp up in tax collection has made expensive cars a lot less attractive.
European posters have also said that Ferraris are readily available at dealers.

It could create more revenue for the F1 team (assuming that a budget cap is not introduced!).

Perhaps he will push for a three car team or a customer Ferrari F1 team?

Anything that Marchionne decides to do with Ferrari is going to have some sort of affect on the F1 team one way or another!

In the end, there is always the attraction to increase production by cashing on a successful brand name to increase profit.

Just look at Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Maserati, Porsche which were racing or sport cars makes in the past and are now just "metal-bashers" like Renault or Ford.

Porsche have a very serious racing effort. Ask Mark Webber.

Like all makers what they sell funds this. Just ask Enzo.

I could care less if Ferrari make a motorized skateboard. I like to see their racing efforts and that takes money.

Nothing SM states in the press appears to put Ferrari itself in peril. The number I see is 3000 extra vehicles. That is nothing.
