Thanks for sharing - a lot of work, wasn't it? Any idea of the total man-hours invested?

Very impressive fabrication skills. I had refrained from commenting earlier, primarily because a number of finishes weren't right, and I didn't want to be "that guy" picking nits. But I'm glad to see you're going back and correcting some of them. i'm sure it's difficult to be severely limited in the plating processes available to you. I know how hard it is to stay "on course" with the constant roadblocks of things you can't get when you want them.

Would be interested to hear why the inner fenders were cut away; same for the footwells, especially since the original metal was still laying around, and fortunately available for you to use as a pattern.

Glad to see this car done as nicely as it is - same color inside and out as my 4799GT,

Congratulations and thanks again for sharing so generously.

    Hello!

It has been 6 months after last report here when the car was finished and stored for winter time here in Estonia. In the beginning of august we got time to start take a test drives on the road. So after driving and adjusting we got over 1700 km on the counter now and the car drives now very well. We changed the main jets to stage higher and bought new brake main cylinder.
We also got chance to buy correct Nardi steering wheel for the car (3th spoke was broken) and very soon we will have correct size Borrani wheels and tires for the car as well.

I hope you all joined this #4879 GTE restoration thread. It takes about 2.5 years to do this with to man.

    Thanks

    Best Regards

I'm so glad to see a GTE taken to this level of near perfection. Top respects.

    Thanks Martin.
    Where is the antenna?
I have an electric one in the wing of 2837 GT which I am not really keen on.
I was wondering what your solution was?

Question and comment: Here, most shops have specialists, i.e. engine builder, body work, painter, upholsterer. You are a two-man shop; did you farm out some work, or do it ALL yourselves? I agree with another poster that the cam covers should be all black, although I like the look of the polished highlights.

Odds are it passed through your hands at one time or another.
