Italian design and American Muscle. Remind me of someone taking an old British AC and spooning a Ford 289 into it. It's just so hard for my head to wrap around the concept of an American Muscle V8 doing the mid engine thing. Those pictures of the boot on the first page look clean. All that Chrome, all that cleaning. One hour of driving = one hour of shinning.

I like the front fender louvers.
might I inquire how the louvering process works?
I have a car that I would like to have the front fenders louvered.
Can the louvering be done with the fenders in place?

The Candy Pantera was sponsored by "Candy Electrodomesticos". That company sold appliances in Italy. The Candy company sponsored the 1972 Gruppo 4 factory race Pantera as well as F1 cars. The Pantera Gr4 was purchased in 1984 as a package of 3 rare race cars all bought by Guy Anderson and imported into the USA that same year. The Pantera racer was titled to use on the streets and drive to track events. Sometime in the 90's, after a ground up restoration, Anderson sold the Detomaso Pantera to his friend Jacob Shalit. Jacob raced the car for many years in Calif. and was invited to race the Gruppo 4 at Leguna Seca.

Some louvers can be done in place, extensive measurements and layout is necessary. I helped a friend punch over 100 louvers in a 57 Chevy hood. We had to remove inner bracing blue dye the inside and scribe every louver then carefully hold the hood in place for each punch. The simpler solution is to buy the louvers from Hall Pantera industrial then install it in a recess on the fender (or but weld it) then light plastic and repaint.

ps: many louver guys only have 1 or 2 size punches and they need the fender off the car and it may take weeks till they get to you.

I understand that he purchased the car from Jacob Shalit thru Pantera International. The car was then sold back to Belgium from where it originally shipped from in 1984. That Gruppo IV has been accepted to run at Daytona Classic car 24 Hr this November. Should be great fun to watch.
