I have an acquaintance that is thinking about an F 50 purchase. He hasn't found many being offered so it is hard to even get an idea on price.

Please PM me if you know of any for sale.

What is the going rate for a nice car?

    Thanks

In 2013 4 came up for sale at auction and sold for (roughly as I recall) 1.3, 1.4, 1.675, and 1.675 million. One sold this year for around 1.4.
    Good luck.

Also, regardless of the price advise your friend to have a trusted F50 specialist check his shortlist extremely carefully before any money is exchanged. It's a magnificent car but the checklist of things to watch out for is extensive. For example its instrument display is very fragile and repairing the electronics is a major problem.

Sounds about right for what I have observed myself.

One of the unwritten things about the F50 is the fact that the dash runs off a small backup battery when the main power is lost. If the backup battery is exhausted the dash will fail to operate again. I understand the repair can be done without sending it to Ferrari.

If the dash fails, the car can still be driven but the dash is dark. Therefore always keep the main battery on a tender. Many owners bypass the battery cutoff switch to prevent this happening by accident. If the batteries are happy it seems you won't have a issue with the dash electronics.
