.....And I felt like I was taken when I paid 2K for a complete kit :)
I have to admit that when I sold my '83 308QV back in 2010, I kept the tools. The buyer was a dealer who was exporting the car to Europe. He kept hammering me on price. (Back in 2010, no one seemed to want a 308, even a QV.) I had shown him the books and records as we went over the car. So those went with it. But I had always kept the tools on the shelf rather than in the car so it never came up. After we did the deal and as the car was being loaded up, he said "oh, and where are the tools?" Tools? What tools? I think I sold them a year or so ago for $600. That was for the tool roll, top cover and the little emergency light. My apologies to whoever owns my old car now! It was the dealer's fault!
What kit is that for? I believe the lp400s bag is blue. Is the lp400? If this kit is for ;ater model, which are half a million +-. I don't know. You would think if someone had the balls to ask 20k and wants someone to spend that...the least you can do is give a better description and at least 10 photos of every side and compartment.
My Silhouette tool bag is a rather faded blue canvas.... precious few tools in it too!! $5K sound reasonable?
With the price escalation we have seen recently it occurs to me that if a Countach owner is missing a tool bag, simply buy another car with a tool bag and sell it again in a couple of months without it.
What year started with that kit? I think the early lp400s had a blue bag but I maybe wrong. Were the tools the same all the way through?
Looks like it sold for Winning bid: US $3,450.00. Must be a new world price record for a "Remanufactured" and "Reconditioned" Countach tool roll.

Bidder sold car did not need kit and asked to be released from buying. Maybe the words reconditioned or remanufactured put bidders off. The tool are original and came from a wreck car several years ago. Chadbourn Bolles 803 532 6257 email: [email protected]

Peter, the LP400 kit was altogether different, I will try to send you a pic of it. I hope this pic attached. If not I will try again later in an email to you. Interesting that the high bidder that "asked to be released from buying" has also bid on one of your other auctions ?????
