"Muira" again and again in your recent posts. Is this some kind of joke?

No. It is was a misspelling due to my Dyslexia and typing on an iPhone. If you've followed so many of my posts on the subject, I'm curious what gives you the impression it was a joke rather than a misspelling?

I just did not get it that a former owner of such a special car types incorrectly four times within four days. But now I understand. I must admit that I never heard of Dyslexia before.

The MR version is out, i placed a order about 3 years ago and when it finally was presented i really got disappointed of the incorrect shape/looks of the model so i decided to cancel my order. But i have the MR 1/43 Jota, actually that was my first 1/43 model that i bought about 10 years ago :)

Note this is an older link but there are some decent photos of the MR Jota.

I didn't think this 1/18 model looked too bad. Not sure how accurate it is to the original real Jota though. Obviously the gentleman that posts here with the replica hasn't been approached by any licensees from MR for photos and measurements I take it?
The replica Jota (3033?) definitely looks a lot different to the SVJ's as far as overall body dimensions go.

Chassis 5110. A very famous, one of a kind, special order SV. Think SVJ but without the rivets and hacked up bodywork.

Thanks. So those mods were done at the factory? What is their purpose?

Anyone who has tried to fill the gas tank using a modern gas nozzle without getting gas everywhere will appreciate the utility of a quick-fill fuel cap.

The Minichamps model used to be readily available on Ebay in the UK, but at the moment, there is only one available for sale and it's a rather large £64! It's a nice model but lacks the rear black silencers.

One thing that I never noticed before is that the Jota on the cover of Car magazine has a different bumper than in its earlier incarnation. The bumper unit is that of the later SV which wraps around the indicator lights whereas the earlier version was more like the P400/S version i.e. a horizontal strip with 2 verticals.

Having pored over the few photos that there are, it was fascinating to see how the car evolved in its short life. And to work out why the changes were made. The position of the oil radiator is an obvious one where the first version had it hanging out over the exhaust pipes and later moved to the side of the engine.

I have even seen photos of the car still in red but with with light blue side cills and wheels!

It's amazing the driver and passenger survived that last alteration to the Jotas bodywork.

That's nothing. There are books we have been waiting for patiently for over 10 years!

Seriously, nice to see Vale getting his due.

So it's been worth the wait? Anything really new or just plenty of nice glossy photos to go with the usual anecdotes?
