Although, as always, I suspect the news will break right here prior to many of the 'major' outlets! :)

    This is the place..... ;)

holy crap, I just read that!

"Tantillo said "two dozen" people were interviewed in the case. Tantillo also said that Ward had marijuana in his system and that the amount found was enough to impair judgment."

Yikes! Well, that explains the tragically poor judgement.

    All the best,

Even without the presence of THC, I think this was the correct result.

But, the news that Ward was under the influence is bad news for his estate in any civil case. It doesn't necessarily mean TS is completely off the hook, but I would agree that any award just went down considerably. I'm not a toxicologist, but I recall that THC remains in the system for some extended period. Regardless of when Ward last blazed up, any residual amount, if enough to impair, is problematic.

TMZ had it when I posted. I didn't link, because I was not paying attention it was supposed to be announced at 3:00. Little did I know I broke it on F-chat first!

Bingo! One would think that Ward was on the path to a NASCAR ride and Tony could have been his greatest asset. Such a sad loss over something so stupid.

Now the series should be held accountable for poor policing.

Nothing to see here, keep moving.

I recall seeing mention of someone calling Ward, Jr. a "dope addict" or something like
that in another forum. At the time, it just seemed like another Internet troll stirring things
up but maybe the guy knew something.

None the less, Ward, Jr. getting out of his car, running onto the racing line (whether it was a
caution period or not) wasn't his best decision.

I'm no expert on the effects of THC, but I think the general belief is that it mellows you out. Thus, hopping out of the car and aggressively pointing out and charging TS would be inconsistent, wouldn't it?

The reports I've read from congress and the DEA, it makes you a raving homicidal lunatic and also makes
    you jump off buildings.

    ...or something.

Living in CO, I can attest that this has been an increasingly explored topic. There are certainly effects on brain development in adolescents and teens. And, there have been deaths due to overdose. But, I certainly see strange behavior from my fellow Coloradoans at times.
