I think I want to sell this car and buy more machine guns. I bought it before I retired and need to think about my future and can I really afford this depreciating asset?
What should I ask for a "buyer happy" price? I don't need to get the most I can and would like the buyer to feel happy he got a fair price. I just have no freaking clue what a fair price is? It has 700 miles on it. I ordered it a year before I sold my business and retired so there was no way to change my mind or plan. Please feel free to convince me to keep it, but I have been on a machine gun "buying binge" and they should appreciate?

God, please do not get rid of this car. Just enjoy it. You clearly have deserved it.

Fair price for it - I wish I could tell you regarding US market. In terms of UK market with that spec - reduced 17-22% off the value of the car depending on how old it is.

    Best wishes.

Without doing TOO much digging around I'd say $260-270K appears to be ASKING price for similar cars.

Although the Central FL market may be a little softer than the Northeast market you came out of.

    Talk to Ferrari about it?

Beautiful car, I would say that the two tone body paint and seat inserts are where you will not really see a return plus you didnt get the upgraded rims. So that is almost a 20K hit on a 300k car. 240-250 would be a real buyer happy price ! You could get 260-270 for it but then you would have to find the right buyer since a buyer can get a new one for 270 and pretty much get a loaded spec plus the problem is that right now new buyers will wait for the 458M which should be showing up in 6 months from now.

Depending on your financial situation, $10,000 or so less than market may be more appealing to a buyer than of consequence to you. Given colors, especially interior, may slow the process a bit. Find out what others are selling for and go below.

With all said, I suspect you can fit a machine gun in the 458, so why settle? Enjoy your retirement. Best

Thats a bad *** gun right there. Keep the 458 a little longer. With only 700 miles of use the darn thing is barely broken in!

    guns appreciate.

Modern Ferraris drop like a rock.

Strictly from a financial perspective you are doing the right thing.

However, I would buy single family homes and rent them. Inexpensive homes that will have renters lined up regardless of the economy.

Better sell the Ferrari and stack up on guns... 'Murica!

Jokes aside, shame you feel you are in a position of selling the car based on financial grounds. The feeling of ownership and driving experience cannot be acquired any other way :)

I almost bought 10 townhomes a few years ago but after watching Judge Judy, I am scared to death of tenants.
It's hell to get people out if they stop paying.

I would agree that class III weapons in the US appreciate better than the stock market. Basic supply and demand. Unfortunately I don't think you can salvage the initial depreciation off the showroom floor. Might as well enjoy for the miles remaining commensurate with the market price.

Rule is something like $10 k per year and $2 per mile off MSRP. The 458 is at the end of its run and will depreciate more as the replacement draws near, so you might want to drop 10k from the final number if you're looking for a quick sell.

Good luck, she's a beauty but I get the allure of machine guns. Very nice.

May I say I hate you?

I live in the land of Diane Feinsten and Nancy Pelosi ( I have other names for these two but the liberal mods here get all rear hurt when I use them). We are allowed water pistols only here.

That looks fun to plink with. My kids and I make do with a California legal 50 DTC and assorted not as fun items.

    Enjoy the toys.

Can I live without a convertible in Florida?
It's actually a fairly practical car. Nice trunk.
