Spotted in Austin (not by me), still trying to figure out what this was originally.

The absolute ugliest Ferrari wannabe I have ever seen, and with more than 160+ pages here, that is saying something.

Looks like a Mosler Consulier GTP/ both it and the McLela Blaze are 'original designs'. The Counsulier was very quick (light weight and turbo) and could corner like a go cart. Had some success in IMSA. The Blaze - just one of many VW based build your dream car kits.

This F40 is hilarious. The best part is in the description:

Since I have owned the car, it has been garage stored and it is very clean inside and out. It always starts up and goes from point A to B. It is built on a 1988 Pontiac Fiero with the Iron Duke I-4 mid-engine and has an Automatic transmission.

To me, the only known issue is that the fly wheel is missing a couple of teeth. This hasn't really been a problem for me as these missing teeth only line up with the starter on a very rare basis. When they do line up, it is very easy to correct the problem and I use a socket and extension to do a small turn on the engine from the passenger side wheel well. This moves the flywheel missing teeth past the starter gear. Watch the video below and it displays this process which takes about 30 seconds to complete. The socket and extension will be included with the car.

This whole thread should be re-named to "Kill it with fire".

A Vancouver Pastafarian wants to wear a spaghetti strainer as religious headgear for his driver's license photo. All very controversial with provincial licensing agency. Lots of readers' comments on the headgear issue but not one comment on the real issue: a bad replica Dino. Vancouver Pastafarian boiling mad over ICBC photo flap (with video)

I see the replica in the background on the video. This story rocks! I laughed out loud... multiple times.

This is the car where Gas Monkey Garage folks trained to repair and rework the F40....

Is it still called a replica if it looks nothing like what it claims to replicate? I can put F40 stickers and some Ferrari emblems on my dodge pickup but that don't make it a replica. Almost the same as we see here. :)

Wow! There's probably about $9500 worth of well choreographed stickers/emblems crammed into that cockpit. Would be a challenge for them to fit any more in. Maybe I should do that to my 355 :)

“Up for auction at low reserve is one of the highest-quality reproductions of an 1972 Dino 246 GT Ferrari you will ever find. The car is absolutely stunning and has been meticulously maintained and cared for over the years. There will be no disappointments for the new owner. Low mileage - very clean car inside and out. Extremely fast as well!”
