Yeah I completely understand that! Chains are a stupid idea in 2014. That and constantly replacing tyres and putting on and taking off the gear is why I no longer ride. Pete

I know what I would buy instead. Victory Vision Tour Motorcycle : Overview AU Australia - Victory Motorcycles AU
Yes please! Ferrari, Make This Stunning LMP1 Car Right Now - WTF1 I mean, it's no 250lm, P4, 333sp etc, but it looks a million times better than a modern F1 car (unless you paint Martini stuff on the F1 car).
Picked up my car from Sal at Racing Red today, new clutch fitted, great job, very reasonable price, lovely bloke. Then to my workshop and swapped rear mufflers for a Mille Miglia pair. What a difference - fantastic note, wails like a V12 should but Image Unavailable, Please Login not too loud, no droning. Highly recommended.
Can you tell us what a reasonable price is please? Also, how many km's did you get out of the clutch? Or was it nearly worn before you got it as you haven't had the car that long. Fixed the clutch in the Golf yet? Clutches all round on your end it seems. Have heard a 550 with a full Tubi exhaust and it sounded absolutely amazing! The roar from the engine was incredible and it was instant love!
$1500, I sourced the parts for $4500. Clutch was beyond the wear limit when I got the car. Started slipping on the GG. Wouldn't upshift beyond 5000rpm, which is the sign it's rooted. Nothing wrong with the Golf clutch, but I sold it a while ago and bought a Mazda 6 diesel - more room for Mrs KIAI's golf gear. Great car. In a matter of months I've gone from hating flappy paddles to having 2 cars with them! Mazda tranny very clever, not a dsg but super tight torque converter that has no slip once you're moving. MM exhausts are made in Aus, great quality and they get the sound just right. IMO Many tubi cars are too loud to live with on a long trip.
yeah, a Supersprint. Boring note that didn't change pitch with revs. Apparently designed to be legal in the USA. Rear mufflers about 5kg heavier than the MM too. The good part of the Supersprint is the X-pipe centre section, which has no mufflers and boosts torque.
