Hi, The show, being the first of its kind, generated a lot of interest, and even the news broadcast a live report. Here the reporter does her report holding a Vette. A big thanks to the Scale Model Club of Iran and especially Farzin, Hessam and Nima 'Mojitz'. I really look forward to their next event. Regards, Ramin Image Unavailable, Please Login

I've heard of 3 Aston Martins related to Iran. The first one used to be Ashraf's Vantage located in France which was never imported to Iran. The next one is said to be Shah's DB4 (or by some sources DB2/4) which is lost. The third one is a blue 1975 Vantage which was exported to Europe after the Revolution with an Iranian transit number plate (no surprise!). Also in the third picture, seven-year old Ian Heggie, the son of Aston Martin's Deputy Managing Director, test drives a toy Aston Martin DB5, at the Iranian Embassy in London, 20th December 1966. The car, a model of the James Bond vehicle complete with replica gadgets, is to be given to Reza Pahlavi, Crown Prince of Iran. The car is a personal gift from Aston Martin's owner Sir David Brown (19041993, standing, centre). On the right is Iranian ambassador Ardeshir Zahedi.
