    In no way am I trying to out do this fabulous gathering....
    Mario of NY held an unbelievable 40th Anniversary party for the Countach. If memory serves me correctly he had 27 or 28 attendees show up. He was hoping to set a 'most Countachs in one gathering' record. A day I will never forget. I'm sure this group has incredible memories to cherish.

    Peter K. any idea what ever happened to the Balboni photos?

    Yes, Mario's 40th had a lot of Countachs. I am not sure of the number, maybe 24 plus 4 or 5 other models. Don't forget, Mario bought that light brown Silhouette and LM just for the event. Actually no, 25 Countachs.....Mario's Countach was in the garage.
    The only downer, there was no lp400 there.

    Anyone remember?

    First and most important, this car has never had a restoration.....as we all know and saw when I got it and how rough it was. No has taken apart this car like they would for a restoration or color change. Only re-sprays and section re-sprays.

    It's been years since I had them off but I think it was all the same. Will check again, especially all around the window mechanism.

    The key places we checked, which also tells the true story, is deep inside the front wings/fenders, firewall, dash. All the same color. And, the dash was 100% original and never removed when we restored it. Still have the original material wrapped up, bagged, and tucked away.

    So far 3 owners, including myself, confirm the same color and never had a color change. There are 1 or 2 more owners to go.

    yeah.that gathering was great. Family like with Valentino sharing behind the curtain stories about the 60mn video and others.That was priceless.

    Here are a few of many pictures.One is of a gorgeous yellow owned by Steve Waldi, Another confirming the cake was actually a Euro DD Q, which i suspect to be in Marios's car image when he owned it and another showing somber looking people, strongly disaproving of what I speculate to be something sinister going on...

    That's an aftermarket application, certainly not an upgrade, nor a factory recommended alternative.

    The Countach steering wheel is one of the most iconic pieces of automotive art, instantly recognizable by many, and the car should have this component.

    Thankfully, you can still find these 'wheels, and our friend Emilio, for example, can supply them.

    I have a contact in Japan who suggests to me that this gathering a few years ago @ Fuji yielded in excess of 30 Countachs.

    Well said. Call me shallow but one of the biggest issues I have with the 25th is the steering wheel. Oh, and the shift knob too ;)

    One thing I love about the 25th's wheel is the color-coded centerpiece, and the sleek smooth look, part of he 25th's complete re-design.

    My favorite wheel of the 3 used on Countachs is the one used on LP400S to QV, but I also like the one used on the LP400 very much too, with its slimline rim and simple boss & spokes.

    I guess I like them all!
