I've already said other rappers drive Ferraris, what is one more. I'm sure he would be seen as cool with his bros.

^ Italians don't particularly like him and I don't think he would suit the Scuderia's ethos

    Don't see this one happening

    To me, a normal fan:

    1. The engine / Exhaust noise
    2. DRS passing is rediculous
    3. Over-Restrictive rules. Bring back the design creativity.
    4. Tires by only one manufacturer
    5. Race management / button pushers not race car drivers

Facts are facts, with your musical taste you should cringe at that too.

It's tittle tattle mate, regards his music I have not heard it to be honest, I hazard a guess I would agree with you, but De-la-soul, Snoop ect are ok.

Oh and Gang Starr I did really like them.

XIX are trying so hard to make of him a new cult, getting him astronomical contracts, a flaming girlfriend and building up his public persona. Still it's working with a few ones! ;)

LOL nice try, am too old for that malarkey, you know my music tastes, and it involves more than shaking a fat arse up and down, not that I dislike that :D

Hamilton is a super driver, so for me watching him sing and sling an F1 car around a track, is all I am interested in..;)

    No critiquing the girlfriend please.

I don't quite get your negative bias towards Hami. You and I agree on most everything else. I mean, do you really want to support Rosberg? You can't be serious.

So, pretty much all of F1 then! :(

Bernie runs it, JT sanctions it and Charlie keeps them under control....

As for the 'shameful regulations', they're what the teams/PU suppliers wanted. Nothing to do with Bernie (he was against the PU change). Nothing to do with Todt (he just rubber stamps what the stakeholders want). And nothing to do with Charlie (he just writes the regulations that the stakeholders want).

    Cheers,
    Ian

His girlfriend is definitely the best thing about him, acually the only thing together with his quick reflexes, but both worsen with time.

My son, whom turned 8 years old yesterday, likes Hamilton the most of all drivers on the grid. Why? Because he has "swag". Apparently, "swag" has to do with his flat-brimmed hat, diamond stud earrings, and the fact that he is British (my son was born in Sweden???).

While my son will watch a race with me, maybe a constant 10 minutes at a time, he doesn't understand the nuances of each race/driver nor appreciates strategy or race craft yet. He takes each race at face-value. For him, and probably most young fans of the sport, "swag-presence" is what appeals to them. I'm sure his tastes in drivers/teams will evolve as he learns more about the sport, but for now image has a lot to do with " marketability" and "interest" in the sport for young viewers.

I am sure his appreciation for F1 will continue for years to come, but his reasons for watching will change with his maturity. We both watch for very different reasons, but the fact remains: we both watch.

Todt pushed everything in a "green", "economical" direction. Ecclestone let it happen.
Excerpt from the New York Times-March 27, 2014:

" “When we talk of the principle disciplines of auto racing, we have to take into account what is happening in the world,” Todt said in an interview last month. “We have to take into account the environment.” The F.I.A. also hoped to lure back some of the car manufacturers that had departed the series during the global economic crisis by making Formula One a showcase for their hybrid technology.
    ...
After that first race, one of Ecclestone’s allies, the local race promoter in Melbourne, Ron Walker, not only complained, but said that he thought it was a breach of contract with Formula One.

“I was absolutely delighted with the whole weekend,” Walker said on Australian radio, “but I was not happy with the sound. We are resolving that with Bernie. It’s clearly a breach of our contract.” "

As for Whiting, the inconsequent dealing with and length of safety car appearances. The inconsequent forms of "investigating" during and after races, very much depending on who 's at fault.

Come on, F1 has become a bad joke!

Haha. I like Kimi because he smokes Marlboros and drinks too much! Can't say my reasons for liking certain driving are better than his! Go figure...

And that my friends is why I do not like LH, and anybody who is image over substance as a person. Surely being a F1 driver is enough not to need this superficial cr@p ... he might have left the recording studio but he is still a rapper.

Grow up mate, grow up. Leave the pathetic world of the likes of Justin Bieber and Kardashians behind.

I've never hid my admiration for lewis' talents. His off track antics aside he has won me back with some absolutely brilliant driving. He lost me for a while with some bonehead stuff but I really to believe that he and alonso are the class of the field though for personal reasons I don't like alonso. I understand why some respect him, but I can't overlook some of his previous controversies.

Plus I just love to stir the pot haha.

But that's where the new generation is leaving yours behind. This "social media" generation is what's coming, and leaving your generation wondering what has happened. While Twitter, Facebook and Instagram are not my preferred methods of expression, they are the voice of the current generation. Like it or not, it is to be the "norm" of generations to come. Get over it and enjoy the on-track competition, or allow it to obscure your view. It's up to you, but it is only you that will lose-out.
