These are the last details I need to spec out! I opted for carbon front fin, front diffuser, rear difuser, and the carbon engine bay. Also the carbon gas cap... but should i get the fin? Im not doing the rocker panel.. i think thats a bit much, but do you think the fin is necessary? Just looking for the opinions out there. Thanks! Also... rosso corsa, NART stripe... with gold wheels? Yes?

I would do it, cuz you have a lot of carbon options on the car already. The fins in carbon would just add and tie in the sides to the overall theme of your spec.

My initial thought was no, because I had the carbon gas cap on one side and i thought it looked like too much. Then i saw the Speciale A had it... standard? Oh well...

I would definitely go with the CF side fins to give it a little nice touch but not the gas cap since I think that the gas cap interrupts with the smooth line of the car IMO. Also gold wheels are nice (though I did standard wheels on my spec, RS with NART stripe and CF side fins also), I think it would be harder to find a buyer interested in gold wheels if you are thinking about resale down the line (that's why you don't see too many scuds with gold wheels).

I've been having a bit of fun, playing around with the configurator a few times, and I think the idea of going with CF fins and painted rocker is the right one. Basically you have specced the CF as I would. I think the CF fins look great with painted rockers. Not too much, just enough:)

My opinion if you want to do the little fin that you do the rocker panels also or not at all.
I would not do the gas cover either.

Reasoning is your eyes go to the small spotty areas of carbon fiber that look like aftermarket add-ons, cheapening the look .
The diffuser and the splitters, engine bay will be hardly noticeable in Carbon fiber.
So I would not consider those areas as being too much.

What you will see on the car will be the Rocker panels And will look like they're there for a purpose..

What Tom said especially about the whole rocker panel in carbon. Also if I might add the current Ferrari gold wheel color is a shade off and doesn't seem to look as good as the gold wheels did on the old 1960's Ferrari race cars. Ultimately it's what makes YOU happy!
    Just my 2 cents...

Are you sure about the CF gas cap? Kind of looks out of place that dark spot all by itself IMHO.

I guess the cap broke the lines in a way that was appealing to me... however it seems to be a very minority opinion! Maybe its back to the drawing board for me

Get the fin but loose the gas cap. Looks a little busy when you also have a stripe

Your spec is very well done. I've spent countless hours going over the specs for my Speciale so i know exactly what you're going through :) the CF gas cap is the only item that just seems a bit out of place to me. Flip a coin and get some rest.

I agree with this logic as well. And I think it also depends on whether or not you are getting black wheels. The fins and even the gas cap seem to fit better if you were getting black wheels IMO.

depends on the car's color. Yellow - fins in carbon. Red - no carbon fins.
Fuel cap, as mentioned above, generates a , doesn't fit into the overall apperance of the car. imo

Yes I would do the side fins in CF. No to the gas cap. You can see all my CF on my white car under "new addition". Make sure to wrap the side fins with clear skin as they do take a beating.

Obviously you're not OCD :) I've spent days just mulling over the color...and I've only managed to narrow it down to RS or yellow. LOL

My exact thoughts on your opinion!

Fins in carbon will go well with Yellow and White but not Red.
