WJMJH of Panther City....that's my friend Will H.

He was here with me in Houston, knew the legendary JRV, followed the Miura into oblivion, and then..

Drove that car in Fort Worth, for a time.
He is in a Mini Cooper now last I checked, I greeted him briefly at Lemans COTA last weekend, but I went for a shower as my date was arriving soon, and when I came out he was gone..

In fairness, don't get your car confused with Tony348's car...I think they are different VINs???

That car was stolen by some strippers, from his garage (it was said) and trashed and left down on Harry Hines with some minor damage, from the late night hijinks.

    I loved living in Dallas...:D :D :D

    Women there played HARD, though!!!

I Was asked to look at a 348 a few years ago for someone who was looking for their first Ferrari. I believe this is the same car. The person who asked myself and several others to have a peak at it said it was a salvage title due to some type of front end collision and is was going to be in the 28,000 to 30,000 range as told to him by somebody who knew the owner. The prospective buyer was OK with the salvage title as long as the car was repaired right. When I saw the car it did not appear to look like anything terrible or catastrophic happened. The repair on the surface looked fine enough and with a recent service at FMS it seemed like something to consider if he could negotiate the price a bit closer to the 28 end. In all reality who knows how hard of a hit it took, insurance companies total these things for hardly anything anymore. The prospective buyer ended up walking from this car not because of any glaring issues but because the owner said during the test drive he wanted 42,000 for the car. That's a long way from what the numbers he was under the impression the owner wanted.
I have no dog in this fight, I do not know the current owner or what he paid for the car much less anything that has been done or not done since he took possession. Its obvious he put some different wheels/tires and painted the brake calipers. If someone is in the market for a 348 and isn't bothered by the branding on the title this could be a good fun driver for a relatively low admission price.
I hope this sheds a little light on things. I wish the owner best of luck with his sale and whoever buys it many miles of happy motoring.

Oh so true. I was interested in this car then discovered it had a Salvage Title and backed away. Subsequent posts then had overtones of it being a theft recovery so it again caught my interest.

However, I made another genuine inquiry and received the below cryptic nonsense.

So, I assume information provided to me from a fellow member and the post from copterjon must be true - it has been in a front end collision.

I am truly no longer interested, especially given the OP's attitude.

Potential buyers beware given the shenanigans so far - if the title history is not readily forthcoming, what does that indicate about any frankness regarding other issues that may exist?

Such continued concern for something that no longer concerns you yet you just can't seem to drop it except for the fact of you must sing in the shower for the sound of your own voice

    Why not disclose the truth?

What purpose does it serve to not disclose the true reason for the salvage title but to deceive?

It has gone to far off the fairway now. You cannot be deceived now nor would anyone try. So no answer for anyone not interested in purchase as it contributes nothing except for echo in the shower stall from off key singing.
I have heard it was parked at a country club and struck with a golf ball but then thats just a story I heard. I have a slice, not a hook.

Never said I was deceived. Just like you never explained why the car has a salvage title.

Trust me, you obstinacy is not helping your cause.

I don't recall this 348 being in West Seattle. There was a salvage titled 348 Spider here, up the street, but not a targa...

I wouldn't worry too much about his opinion. Consider the source. And keep up the good work.

Will Enzo forgive me, will you buy the car, your assistance so far has me quite secure as to what the result shall be from examples of past postings. I may have missed your offer what with all the turmoil, but in your case the 2 cents can be noted and returned.
Why would you want the entertainment to cease? you can have the facts of the car upon receipt of your check for $29,999,98 (less the 2 cents input from your postings)
Other than that, as has been said Unless your a serious buyer.....no? ....
then it is of no concern to you.

I have no cause, I have received no offer from you so you have no cause to know anyway.
At this point in lfe, I care if the car sells or not and the money unneeded. It is but an offer for someone to own and drive a beautiful Ferrari at an affordable price without resale being of major issue, at 70+ who cares? but thanks for your help.

or just in the dark over something that concerns you not.
Let it go folks, unless I receive your check for the car, you will never be told as it is none of your busines. The slander has been scattered, get over it., because, no I am not going to tell you without your check in the mail because..IT DOES NOT CONCERN YOU while it does befuddle you beyond description, it is fun to watch you eat ice cream cones.

zoowho2: This whole thing is just weird pure and simple. No one in their right mind would waste any time looking at your car or making an offer without knowing the facts? When you advertise 'Salvage Title' what did you expect?

You posted an ad in a public forum. Since you have posted "pubically," than it is openly up for sale. Saying "it does not concern you" makes it sound like you have something to hide. Why not disclose any problems that you know of to help a prospective buyer make an informed decision?

Just curious, if since you were a "real" potential buyer, did you find out why the car was salvaged??

I must say, you are the strangest car seller I have ever met.

You must not realize that serious buyers want the facts on the table BEFORE they hand a check over.

Insulting prospective buyers who could buy your salvage title car ten times over is usually not a winning strategy, but then again, the bell curve is occupied by people on both ends.

    😀

    Tom,
I "was" a seroius cash buyer. But after seeing your previous replies I moved on. Why would I, or any seroius buyer, send you a check in the mail without knowing basic information and you not disclosing simple facts? I for one lost interest after I saw a post from a member here who I actually know personally, disclosing the fact that your car has a salvage title (post number 10). That's when I lost interest. Let's forget about the people who you are asking to stay off of your post because they are not buyers. How about people like me who are and move on because of your behavior. I am willing to make a bet that your car will not sell here. Please don't bother replying to this as it will go unanswered. The only way I will answer you at this point is that if YOU send me a check in the mail because I have something really interesting to sell. Unfortunately I can't disclose any real details until I know you are a serious buyer. Once I recieve your check I'll tell you all about it.
