It was purchased and ran into the ground by someone who didn't give a damn about it. I remember those videos. Dave Navarro wanna-be throwing C-Notes out the window at homeless people. Real charmer

I wouldn't be surprised if the dude ran it out of gas, never changed the oil and washed it at a spray-and-wash with a brush.

That was Knick's brother, Che, that threw $100 out the window like he just don't care...except to make blatant videos.

That car was driven sideways more often than it went forward and when it started to get problems they sloughed it off on FoSV to sell and dbonvillain bought it with "needs". He claimed he knew it needed a clutch but with all the other things added up the $28k bill must have been a surprise. I see he recently dumped it after the repeat problems.

This one was ridden hard and put away dead soaking wet

Unfortunate. Such a pretty car. If I spec'ed a Speciale, it would be in GM.

The history that this car has had is saddening. But, these cars go to people who can afford to buy them, that's about the only qualifying factor. So, people with money can be just as abusive as people without.

    Not my cup of tea.

It's good that the history of this car is pretty plainly available. IMO anyone considering buying this car should be savvy enough to do some checking... They'll probably pass. I'm not even sure it would make a good rental car.

Edit: At some point in the future, Justin Beeb's 458 will be for sale (if it isn't already) and we'll all be able to laugh and joke about the history of the car then too.

You had to be invited to own a Scuderia? Haha...yah I don't think so. That has only applied to the Enzo and LaFerrari recently correct?

He says some things in the article that make him sound like a good dude, like putting family first. But he also says some stuff that shows he's a braggart that embellishes.

Guys always talk about "putting family first." In reality though, it's often a matter of putting himself first. Anyway, noticed the article suggested he's a rags to riches story, but left out the story. Someone said this guy married into money? I could see how you wouldn't appreciate something like a Ferrari when you didn't earn the money yourself through hard work.

His idea of putting family first was first marrying then quickly knocking up his wife to make sure he's set for a life of entitlement and car thrashing.

Good point; never thought of it that way to be honest.

He invested in a startup - come on! That is an easy thing to do with no money ; )

Honestly, my thought was - he didn't make the money, or maybe "invest in a startup" is a cover for make a lot of money criminally, then turn straight by investing it. Honestly, I don't really care, but do find it hilarious and sad that someone would have to fabricate a story to feel comfortable living their life.

From the article on the dude...growing up in Palo Alto is growing up in the 'hood (?)

What, the tech executive kids made fun of him since he had the cheap Power Rangers lunchbox?

And she only married him because her father would disapprove.

That family really puts the fun in dysfunction...

I've heard some of the Viper club people talk about the miles put on their cars.

    They are called "Viper Miles".

A quarter mile at a time.
