Hello! I need some help in the history of Lamborghini Countach. I can’t find any information about the sales of LP400 (produced from 1974 to 1978) in the USA. Whether they were officially sold in the US market? And another question: were the side lamps on the Countachs like this (Bonhams : Single owner since 1978, fewer than 16,500km from new1975 Lamborghini Countach LP400 'Periscopica' Chassis no. 1120066 Engine no. 1120070) made by factory, or it is someone’s modification? Thanks a lot!
LP400 were brought into the USA either via the USA importer (Nastasi inc) or as private imports. The side-marker lamps are USA mandated safety equipment, not factory.

Yes. Zoom back to Joe's post 19422 on page 972. If I may, quote attributed to Joe, "The one-off Verde Metallizzato LP400S 1121316 which was special-ordered by an Oil Sheikh member of the Saudi Royal family in 1981 has changed hands."
Yes, as Chad states, Rio Verde Metallizzato 2-444-534 is rare on a Countach (we believe its the only LP400S S3 thus finished), but it was used on earlier Lamborghinis such as Espadas & Miuiras. Image Unavailable, Please Login
And it is exceedingly lovely on the Espada also. (photo not mine) Joe interesting prancing horse tile on the floor there... Image Unavailable, Please Login

Joe, I'm confirming you ex Neldo Levy's LP 400 is "Verde Rio Metalizzato" and belongs now to Harald in Norway it was the 1st Periscopa delivered in France, the 5th August 1974 Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree! And the original color of my red Urraco is green as well. I think a little darker than the Wheeler Dealer Urraco (I LOVE the WD Urraco color!)
Peter, yes the original colour of your Urraco was Verde Medio. This was the darker of the two solid greens available.
