Since the 308's gone I had to take all the gear down, tents etc, in the ute.
Some of the suburbs I went through I should have been heavily armed, but they took my guns off me.

    Perhaps unintended.

    High klm's.

    Close enough to 50k - cheap !

( I had failed to notice the misplaced steering wheel. Please revise all above statements accordingly. ;-)

It's a 27 year old car….that's only 3555 miles a year. At least it's more honest than most of them out there. Many of those "low mileage" cars have been clocked or had the speedos disconnected.

+1 It is ridiculously easy to clock a 70's Ferrari and buyers should ignore the mileage shown. I would wager that most 308's are in truth beyond 100K miles. But it simply doesn't matter if the car has been maintained properly.

The market is obsessed with mileage, a collective self-deception. A 30 year old car that has sat in storage most of it's life will be more shagged than one that has driven 3000 miles a year, but good luck trying to sell with 90K miles on the clock.

40K is the magic number and, by a remarkable coincidence, most early Ferraris show something around this.

Gee my car has done 40 something k's. ;)

There are too many shonks who buy and sell these cars who are plainly dishonest - probably more private than dealer!

The best one is to zero the k's when any major restoration work is done - like WTF?

    That's like a 50 yo bird saying she's now 25 because she's had a facelift.

    Anyway, buyer beware.

My poor little car has done 110,000km.

    You wouldn't know it though.

Makes a mockery of the low km cars I see that seem to show much more wear and tear than mine....and usually blow smoke.

Ignore the km and buy on condition only. Nothing else really matters if you want a happy experience.

+1 to ALL of that! :)

My car had 34,834 km's on it when I bought. Lucky to have what looks like EVERY receipt for all service and repair work completed on my car.

The km's are legit, service booked stamped and all.

I also have a photo copy of the original cheque used to purchase the car back in December 1991 for £92,000.

Lol! I have sheafs of receipts from my car's early years (which were unearthed for me years after I bought the car) and a huge percentage list 'problems' and 'replacement' of speedo!

I've never seen any speedo issues with my car, but I saw around 3 or 4 a/c repair invoices to the tune of $6000 each!!!!

They had to replace the a/c evaporator each time apparently and that part alone from Ferrari was $4500 every time. I smell BS, but how is the owner to know right?

Every invoice shows my car was serviced at the Ferrari dealership from new..........................until I got my grubby little hands on it in 2005.
