    No carfax entry since 2009 ...and mileage is way off on carfax even when you consider that sometimes the km's are misread as miles

    Jalpa's sorted out and mostly reliable = rare

    I have a Jalpa '84 that I have owned for approximately 25 years, 3 years ago had a complete engine overhaul at Evans, mileage <25,000 mi with all service records and serviced yearly. No problems with car, had driven at Cresent Classic last year. Would consider a trade towards a diablo.

    Is that car needing a repaint of the hood ? They describe it as having nice paint.... so maybe photo artifact {or a very different idea of "nice paint" than mine!)

    You're talking about the black car at Evans Auto, I assume?… I haven't seen the car in person, but George Evans is a straight forward guy…might just be a bad picture…..

    I must say that the Jalpa on a full throttle acceleration is one of the most beautiful sounds!! I was always amazed that even folks who owned the Ferrari 3x8 cars would comment on how wonderful that V8 with 4 glorious Weber downdrafts sounded when I would pull out of various events.

    having owned both the jalpa sounds better! hands down
    and the engine has more torque

    on the other hand the 308 GTB handles better, brakes better and is much lighter
    all in all the 308 GTB is the better car, but the jalpa is cool and rare

    I have a 308 GTS as well, and agree on all your points. The term better is subjective, if i had to sell one it would be the 308, so to me the Jalpa is the "better" car. Don't get me wrong, I love the 308.

    what i mean is that in an objective way i think pros VS cons the 308 is better, still in classic cars the rationality goes often out of the window...we like some cars more period ....and i can understand you keeping the jalpa vs the 308 :)


    i did not tried a GTS but the GTB chassis is so much better than the jalpa there is no comparison there...but is not a fair comparison since the GTS was the real competitor for jalpa. so i would have to try the targa ferrari to make a really fair comparison
