Just nothing quite like a Stage 3 Capristo F355. 19"HREs. Hawk Blues with stock rotors when running with the 458 Speciale. 56,000 miles on the car. 20 years old and still going strong. What a great car and great motor.

    Looks and sounds great!

How are the Hawk Blues on the rotors? Any overheating? I'm planning on getting a set of Hawks for the track but want to get some that are easy on the rotors as I'd rather replace pads than rotors. I run the Blues on my 944 (chump) track car and they've lasted two 24 hour races and the rotors aren't too chewed up, so that's the direction I'm leaning.

SKUSA, last weekend, I was talking with the Vision Wells guy about you and your video with the Speciale. He was really proud of that video, and even more amazed with your driving skills. Hope to meet up with you soon on the road or track.

Routinely 8,500 rpm. There are a few places you can hear it hitting the rev limiter, which I believe is about 9,000 rpm. Others may know better.

I did buy a new set of rotors and then sent them to TBM brakes to have them thermally treated (basically the same process as their superbrakes) which is suppose to harden the metal so it does not wear so much. If you are interested call them and talk with Jason. I have a 2000 Ford turbodeisel that weights 7500 lbs. I put the TBM superbrakes on and have nearly 200,000 miles on them (on second set of pads). They do a lot of racing applications and this seems to solve the rotor wear problem. Did not experience any fade with the blues. I did a track day with their superbrake pads and literally worn them out in one 20 min track session with near complete loss of brakes going into a hairpin so do not do their pads.

Really sorry to have missed the FOG rally. Impressive that about $200K was raised for Make A Wish Foundation. The day with The 458 Speciale was pretty cool. The car has pretty much been parked since then. Needs a few things and with the big D just trying to hold on to it. Miss seeing you and driving with you. Hope all is well.
