NEW TEAM DRIVER LINE UP FOR 2015 | Infiniti Red Bull Racing NEW TEAM DRIVER LINE UP FOR 2015 October 4, 2014 Statement from The Team. Sebastian Vettel has advised us that he will be leaving Infiniti Red Bull Racing at the end of the 2014 season. We want to warmly thank Sebastian for the incredible role he has played at Infiniti Red Bull Racing for the last six years. Since joining the team in 2009, Sebastian, together with Infiniti Red Bull Racing, has scored 38 wins, 44 poles and eight World Championships, including four Drivers' titles and four Constructors'. If you include Sebastian's success at Red Bull's second team, Scuderia Toro Rosso, the Red Bull total increases to 39 wins and 45 poles. As we wish Sebastian well in the next stage of his career, we also look to the future with excitement, as the vacancy makes way for the next generation of Red Bull racers. The Red Bull Junior Programme has developed some proven talents in recent times, including Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo, who has excelled in the RB10 and become a three-time Formula One race winner in his first season with the team. We're pleased to announce that Daniel will be joined in the team for 2015 by another rising star from the Junior Programme, Daniil Kvyat. Ends
Wow. I can say I certainly didn't see that coming. Wow. Something must be up behind the scenes or this deal was done long ago. Mark
Wow indeed!...... I guess he & Fred swap seats? If so, that leaves Mclaren somewhat up the creek..... Wonder how many more announcements we can expect before he race?.... I definitely didn't see that coming! Cheers, Ian
I guess I was that red bull wouldn't hire fa . I posted that Fred would not make it thought the weekend . Heck Fred might have to go to lotus
Sky just interviewed Horner. Apparently he was told late last night. Seems he also believes he's going to Ferrari. Uncle Ron told Brundle "the music has stopped".... Sorry - Seems Danny Fiat is taking his seat.
I don't think that's confirmed yet is it? Seems the most likely I agree, but he could be heading to Mclaren I guess..... Which may kind of **** Fred.... Wonder if that's why he's done it this way?
Maybe kimi is retiring and Fred stays, I hope so. Can't stand the thought of fernando going to McLaren or anywhere else. The best driver on the grid, replaced by the most successful current driver? Not so sure it's a fair swap
So what was all this BS about Ferrari having 'talks' with Fernando this weekend if Vettel is already taking Fernando's seat?! http://sports.ndtv.com/formula-1/news/230858-alonso-locked-in-ferrari-talks-says-montezemolo
Wisely Red Bull has promoted one of its home-grown talents and has given a chance to Dany Kvyat. It worked well with Ricciardo and ... Vettel before. Unlike Ferrari that seems to only hire previous champions lately. Assuming Vettel goes to Ferrari, I am not sure it will prove to be the cure for the Scuderia poor form. Time will tell.
I don't think that's confirmed as yet either. We know he's out at the Cans, and I agree, Ferrari seems the most likely, but I don't think anyone predicted KI leaving the Cans either......
