The vid was published October 3, how can that possibly be old news posted 200 pages back.

This is a re-look into the matter after driving all three cars

The attention span of some probably didn't allow them to get past the first 1:12 of content, after which the commentary was new. This won't matter to some anyway, as despite wrapping his hands around all three hypercars in ways most here could only dream of, clearly Chris Harris' opinion is tainted with nationalistic pride and probably bribes from McLaren, of course. Of course...

The video contributed nothing new, we have pretty much established that subjectively, the P1 feels faster and feels better. Chris Harris and Co. also saying the same thing.

We have also established that the 918 objectively is a faster car, it might not 'feel' as exciting as the P1 inside for some, but from numbers alone it is the winner.

That's the Coles Notes for this thread.

To be honest, he says in some aspects. We will have to wait for his conclusions on the 918/LF to see really which HE prefers.

??? Don't most magazine tests show 918 60 to 130 nearly a second slower than LaF and P1? That's where we drive, not 0-60. LaF and P1 should walk right by 918 in anything other than a race from a dead stop. See my acceleration thread. Owners are saying 918 is noticeably slower than P1 and LaF in this range.

I call bull**** on this merely based on the fact that no one having to choose one or the other would have ever even considered a P1 in the first place based on the obvious appreciation expected on an LF. You'd have to be a moron to pass up an LF under any circumstances other than being mega rich, in which case I doubt he wouldn't give the P1 a try for the hell of it.

Before Chris i came to this conclusion after driving both I'm still waiting for the laferrari.

Does this means the 918 a bad car ? closemminded some will believe im saying this but no its an amazing machine, but with confidence i can say the P1 feels way ahead when it comes to driving experience and enjoyment.

I personally never experienced such thrill since long long time ago and the P1 is exactly like I wanted it to be.

So the 918 it could be for some more than a P1.

Now faster or slower I'll leave this debate to who still quoting the 0 to XXX numbers and keep repating it over and over again.

Go out drive and enjoy your cars you bought your car for you to enjoy not for us to approve.

I understand quite well, Jim. I can ask for further information and I know I will get an answer, but I don't feel the need to. I'm pretty sure you know a lot of people from McLaren, why not directly ask them? Oh right, for someone who believes the car only has 727 hp and who considers his company an actual "manufacturer" and competitor to McLaren, I doubt you'll get an answer.

Have to choose? This guy doesn't have to choose between one or the other. He bought a 12C and his driveway gate opener immobilized it. Twice. Had to go back on a flatbed. While this didn't make him want to sell his F1 it did make him no longer interested in McLaren's. As for his La it was never P1 or La it would have been P1 and La and knowing him I bet he gets a 918 as well.

I think the 918 is on pare (slightly slower) with the P1 acceleration wise up to 300 kph. Did you watch the P1 acceleration video that was posted on Facebook? It did 0-300 in 18s with a 4s 0-100 (so 16.8s with a normal launch). :-D

?? what do you think the NS is? Public roads with no speed limit. What better place to test?

Of course we'll test on other roads as well. We'll test in the rain. We'll test in the Sicilian sun. Same as we always do.

Our goal is to drive the Road version from our factory in Turino to Le Mans, convert in the box, race for 24, reconvert and drive to Paris for dinner. Do you seriously think we'd try to do that without testing both road and race versions extensively?

The 'Ring is a public road? lol By "public roads" I mean at normal driving speeds and with real-life driving scenarios. How many prototypes will you build before deliveries start? Cheers. :)

Once again the FIA rules for real racing cars are public record.

Read them. I have and my reading remains that real race cars in real races have to have a steel roll cage.

You need to get a grip.

I've never said what HP the P1 has nor do I doubt at all what they claim it is. I do doubt that La weighs what Ferrari claims it does.

I like and admire McLaren. I'm proud to own a car that Bruce drove to 4TH OA at Le Mans.

The FIA considers me a manufacturer, one who constructed a car that has won an FIA championship. The FIA considers P 4/5 C an SCG not a Ferrari and who am I to argue with them? As for being a competitor to McLaren, at the 24 we have been and will be again. The results of that competizione are public record and will be again but that's where it ends. While we both have cool glass houses they are a major sports car manufacturer and F1 Team. We're not nor aim to be. Our goal is simple. It's the same one Mr Ferrari had in 1947. We want to sell road and race cars to fund our racing. Our total production will likely be less than the number of cars they make in a month.

    SCG World Headquarters.

Your point still eludes me. Our first delivery will be in December. That one is a race version that will test, race a 3 hour, a six hour qualify and then race the 24 along side our factory entry. As for converting race cars to road cars and driving them successfully without incident on the road for years I'm not sure anyone else in the world has driven Bruce's Le Mans Ford MK-IV on the road for 40K+miles other than me. P 4/5 C has about 8K road and race miles. I'm driving her, testing if you will this coming weekend to Miller Motors with her sister Ferrari P 4/5 should any of you want to listen to me talk about coach building. I'm sure Miller will let anyone visiting their McLaren Dealership next to their Ferrari Dealership where we'll be, listen in should they care to.

P1 and 918 seem to be getting some heavy comparative testing. Hopefully La will as well.

Makes no sense. Not saying it isn't true, but his thought process is highly illogical.

12C immobilized twice due to EMC issues with his garage opener -- no longer interested in the P1.

GT3 suffers catastrophic failure, all sold cars need new engines, and have Do Not Drive orders for 6 months -- is interested in a 918.

458 recalled for glue that can cause and has caused fires -- is interested in an LF.

Napolis, when can we expect to see the finished exterior? Way out of my price range, but still really interested in the looks.

BTW, how much time are you spending on the interior? In my experience, while such boutique cars tend to have awesome exteriors, the interiors are usually terrible quality and design. Even Pagani, while using high-quality materials, has a very hit or miss interior. He designed one of the most amazing exteriors in recent memory, but he's definitely no interior designer IMO...

Should we expect a really high-end interior?
