My gosh, this is my dream car since I started buying car magazines in teen's! It all started when I bought a french magazine with a report on the 1994 Le Mans. The F40 LMs made the pole position on the GT class. Two years later, I was able to watch in the track a race of the BPR endurance series and the F40 GTEs gave a hard time to the Mclarens F1 GTRs!

    Congrats on the restoration!

Labels just arrived for the dash and just being tried on for size with double sided tape and think they are just slightly too big; No cigar.

Or leave blank with no labels as pretty obvious except on the other side where there are three switches which need identifying?

Yep, those labels don't seem to fit with the outstanding quality of everything else. Maybe shortening the text would help - extinguisher rather than extinguishing system, master rather than master switch, brakes rather than brakes reg, R - F rather than rear front, gen rather that generator, etc. Also, using white letters on a black background rather black on white might improve the look. Just my 2 cents...

The small picture is of a Michelotto car, the big image mine, hence the thought of staying close to originality.

What a wonderful journey, thank you for taking the time to share it with so many of us!

Perhaps logos instead of words for the switchgear?

Your labels appear to be white instead of correctly yellow or am I missing something here?

Sharp eyes! We have both versions ON OFF and OFF ON and as this is just a soft trial, it was purely set up for aesthetics. Trust me, given the history of this project, it will be all right on the night!

Sorry if it comes over that way. Love the car/thread and was just trying to help. I guess this one didn't need to be said.

I'll return to watching this great car restoration.

That makes sense. I didn't realize the bottom photo was of an original car.

Are all injectors swapped out for 90/400's, or is it just the 8 of them?
