apparently James Wilson has a LOT of friends on Facebook! is it odd that the plane "depressurized" but oxygen masks didn't deploy?
I think we 3 all have mutual friend(s) on FB so the three of us must have all seen that post yesterday. First thing I noticed was no oxygen masks. Second thing I noticed was that the guy was two rows away and had the serenity and level headedness to post a concise, grammatically tight post about it on his facebook and didn't say "i love you" to his family, so I don't think he actually felt like he was in grave danger. (I am aware that I likely made ironic grammatical errors in the above sentence.)
I noticed in an article on this story that a pilot came back to inspect the damage. Whats the protocol there? Does a stew sit in the Cockpit to allow the inspecting pilot entry into the secured door after he gives the secret knock? I assume the remaining PIC doesnt want to be in there alone and be distracted by opening the door, and I assume the door is secured while inspecting pilot is out of the cockpit.
his pic got picked up all over the place...twitter, some local MSM sources in San Francisco, Jalopnik (presumably through some of the Texas-based "writers")....had it not been for his pic, that story probably wouldn't have made waves anywhere outside SFO and DFW.
