Just thought some might have interest in seeing the new single post lift I had installed this week. Very substantial structure with a clean look. Small footprint so nothing really in the way.

nice. sorry dumb question - this is to work on the car, you can't drive a car under right? can't tell exactly where those supports are.

No Mark, its primarily for storing one car under another. There is only one post that you see on the passenger side of the car. Unique design but structurally very substantial. The base and platform that you see is bolted into the concrete Its made by American Custom Lifts. Excellent product with great customer service. If you go on their website and look under Residential Lifts you can check them out. Would recommend highly so far.

I'll post or send more photos with a car parked underneath if you'd like. The car is basically suspended on two ramps. The ramps are wide (about 23 inches) so not difficult to drive on.

    Hi Tom,

Looks great but I must say, those scare the crap out of me :)

Did you raise your garage door? If not, you know you can get a hi-lift option - right?

PS, you promised the pretty blonde would be in the picture - you are letting us down :(

    Hey Dave,

The idea of the single post is intimidating a bit but if you saw the unit and its installation it would really calm your fears. Amazing really. Yes you can get a higher post but not necessary in my case because my cars are low profile enough to fit easily under the top one. Actually any standard size car will fit, just not an SUV. And as far as the blond goes, as soon as I can get her over again I'll be sure to take another pic for you. She's like an angel though, just comes down once in a while to visit.:)

    Thomas,
I am talking to them about doing two lifts in my garage. Nice to see your set up.

Thanks. I think you'll be impressed with the quality of the lift if you decide to go ahead with the purchase. It is a bit pricier than traditional 4 post lifts but worth it in my opinion. Good luck.
