couldn't agree more. I like Rosberg a lot. I was hoping he would sign with Ferrari before he moved to Mercedes, but Hamilton has dominated where it matters most in the win category. Had he not had two mechanical failures while leading the race means the wins comparison would be that much more lopsided.

I think Rosberg will luck into the win with the double points at the last race just based on Hamilton's bad luck (or is Karma?).

We will soon have a worldwide asterisk shortage at the rate people here tend to use them.

Nico has had his share of DNFs too (maybe even more than LH?), so you just can't answer those 'what if' scenarios. Whoever has more points at the end of the season wins the WDC, regardless of wins. And he'd fully deserved it as well.

I'd personally like to see Nico win, and have a championship on his resume. And yes, he's much more likable than LH, at least IMO. We've seen BOTH drivers dominate each other, so they're pretty equal in my book, and both deserving of the title. We're close from finding out who. At least it should be down to the wire, unless Nico DNFs the next 2 races... which hopes doesn't happen. The best scenario would be BOTH guys going into Abu Dhabi with equal points, and neither DNFing, and battling it out on the track. But that rarely happens.

Hamilton deserves it. rosberg not so much.

As others have mentioned. Rosberg has 4 wins this season. 1 he inherited by virtue of Hamilton DNF in the lead, 2 by dint of hamilton starting in the middle/back of the pack and the other through questionable circumstances with qualifying. Hamilton on the other hand has inherited nothing. He won Britain when nico retired but would've won anyway, and won Singapore but was on pole and therefore assumed to be leading.

Ham shouldve won basically every race this season and was capable to do it if the car didn't let him down. As I keep saying, every race that nico and ham started in a comparable grid position and both finished (aside from Monaco) Lewis has won. Very significant imo. The race pace domination is overlooked by a lot.

    Reliability is 5-2.

That is 3 dnfs to ham. 2 dnfs to rosberg and 2 cases also of Hamiltons car failing completely in qualy (brake failure and fire).

He is not sure, but he based his opinion on it and assumed it, so you can see the real reason, he doesn't like his new hair style, so Nico should win it :D

No one "deserves" the title other than the driver with the most points at the end of the season.

Whether it's decided by the double points abomination or not there will be just one name in the history books.

Hamilton has clearly faced more adversity this season via mechanical failures. I give him much credit for keeping his head down and pushing forward vs throwing in the towel due to misfortune. He has responded like a champion in wrestling the WDC lead back from his teammate, who didn't make many missteps for a good portion of the season.

I don't really get the "Nico is much more likable" sentiment. I don't recall all of the "glamour, bling-bling attitude" stuff that is brought up often here. The guy is British....he's not from the streets of New York or South Central Los Angeles, but one would swear he is based on this oft repeated line. I think he's settled down and handled himself extremely well this year, especially when everything was going against him.

Based on fan reactions at the GP's, I would say the majority of people stand in opposition of the "Nico is more likable" line.

Lewis has more dnfs and more importantly he has more dnfs while leading the race.

Hamilton has proved his speed and racing prowess to me but his achilles has always been consistency and temperamental racing decisions.

Folk only see what they want to see, it's beggars belief, they also must turn the volume down on the TV, so they can't hear fans booing Nico on the podium :)
