It's a fantastic collection in a fantastic location.

Among the cars, i particularly appreciated the red Alfa Romeo 1750 Zagato, the special built single piece blue 1953 Fiat 8V and the 1939 Auto Avio Costruzioni 815

    ciao

Wife accidently broke the fiberglass door pull frame on the passenger's side of the gt4. Took the door panel off and all apart and made a steel angle reinforcing bracket out of 20 gage sheet metal. Debated how to attach it then decided on PC7 epoxy. I filled the void on the back of the panel with the epoxy and then wedged the whole assembly into place and packed more epoxy around the repair. I also glued the broken pieces of the "bolt hole" to the metal bracket with the epoxy. Every thing has been setting up for the last two days, when I get home today I plane on cutting off the excess epoxy and the pieces of the wedges sticking out and reassembling the door panel before we head off to the monthly Alfa Club meeting. I'll take some pictures and let everyone know how the repair turns out.

Hey group, I have a question... My car #10906 was originally painted white when new (trunk still has factory Glidden Salchi code sticker 20-W-152 Bianco Polo Park). The guy I bought the car from in 2006 (his mother and he owned the car for more than 26 years) said they remembered the car being two-tone blue and white before she had the car painted black in 1980. Working on the car I have found blue overspray in many locations around the bottom so I don't doubt their story but I have not been able to determine how/who/why the car was painted that way. A little digging has turned up a story that the dealer, Ramsey Ferrari, painted the car that way to drum up some interest since it had sat unsold on the lot for more than a year. With the increasing value of the gt4 my wife has decided to have the car painted as my Christmas/Birthday present this year so we have been discussing color. We agreed to go back to the original white but if the dealer painted the bottom half blue that would be cool and unique (especially if I could support it with dealer paperwork) to return it to that scheme. Does anyone out there know anything about the color scheme of s/n 10906 or have any access to Ramsey Ferrari's records?

Treated the vinyl, dusted the interior (top open driving allows dust in), vacuumed the carpet, cleaned the windshield, got bored and painted the top with a rattle can. It was grey looking and since it's nothing but fiberglass I figured why not. Came out ok, need a better spray pattern next time. Looks a damn sight better than it did! and fixed the rear view mirror.. again..

I went out for a Sunday drive and then went for groceries. When I came out to the parking lot I noticed that the rear side marker light was hanging out by its wires. Shoved it back in and drove home. I looked in the trunk area and found that both the nuts had come off the light. Weird. Put them both back on and checked the light on the other side. One nut was missing and I couldn't find it in the trunk. Today I went down to NAPA and got a replacement nut and put it on. Pretty major project. Sorry, no pictures. Cost $0.23 USD.

Had the pleasure of waxing the 430 and then driving the 328 with the roof off on a perfect autumn day. The 328 annual fall wax job is in the near future.

Attached new neoprene foam strip on the bonnet of my GT4 (hood to you on the other side of the pond!) - the bit that seals the airflow over the radiator. Quite a bit of work to clean of the old rotten stuff with a brass wire brush.

Then I shampooed and steam cleaned the carpets (they were fitted in 1990 and did need some work done on them) and checked the fitting of new floor mats (originals were also from 1990 and very worn).

Car now resting with windows slightly open to help dry the carpets. See how they look tomorrow.

    Seats being reconolised on Thursday.

Driving season pretty much over here in UK. So got to find lots of time for bits of remedial work

i took my 700 Hp Donovan powered 83 gts for a nice ride . i need to do some mods to move the seat back a little because its a little uncomfortable especially with my work boots. anything over 4 k rpm and the car takes off like a rocket i must say every 308 out there should feel like this because you see a red Ferrari and you expect it to be fast not just sound good.the seller told me the car has factory 288 body panels .

Won best in class at the local show.

Top Tip: Its easiest to take BIC if you're the only one in the class.

Sent a set of GTS side louvers acquired used over time to the paint shop for final finish and paint after removing enough louvers to expose the windows similar to a GTB look. Hope to install Next week.

Driving season is over here, the car went back to Columbus today. This winter we will change the 328 wheels out for 1978 16" Speedlines, work on the relays - maybe new headlights,
install a radio, and retighten the heads.
Nothing major but things that will improve the car.

Replaced 114278 (filler neck hose). The old hose is in surprisingly great shape and original. I also replaced the blue/green vent hose 16x20mm. Much easier job then I expected. Great peace of mind.
