Ferrari LaFerrari vs Mclaren P1 vs Porsche 918

Again a 918 win with a very great margin! Ok I am happy now because the AutoCar Figures shows that the reality!
I was at YasMarina Circuit when 918 beat P1 in all acceleration figures and Lap times!

 

Interesting. Really. If you are stuck for dead in 7th gear. The pensioners drive maybe like that. People use downshifts instead.:-D

Better acceleration at low speeds in 7th gear as an excuse for strangely slow times 200-300kph?

P1 and 918 are both very good cars. Not the best but very respectful.

It proves that so called "torque fill" of P1 is nonsense. It has heaps of turbo lag.

918 has instant torque.

 

Ok people can use downshifts with 918 and beat P1 in %99 of their encounters,
On the other hand pensioners will be the winner with the 918 in 7th gear versus P1 too!

 

This is to illustrate the flexibility of the 918, but if you read the autocar article, you will see (and it also indicates) that the 918 beats the P1 in most of the in-gear (3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th gear) acceleration test.

 

Whats even more strange 918 can reach 214MPH in 4 gear unless this is typo in Autocar test.

And it should have been. A little. The differences through all the revs/power band as in full acceleration tests dont show itself very big. But the war 918 vs p1 is very big
:-D. Every side has its offences and defences.
In my opinion P1 looks better in flesh and P918 looks better in magazines' numbers.

Well, looks like the 918 is the car to beat. I think its tires are a bit more agressive than the P1, but both are stock, so can't really complain.

Regardless of what anyone says, the 180-200mph range is meaningless and the cars are almost identical in acceleration otherwise. I personally do find the in-gear times amazing. It offers the flexibility of a downshift or just cruising in 7th gear or whatever you're in and having massive power available.

As for the actual cars, you cant argue about legal dopamine stimulants that are accessible anytime. P1 gives a marginally better hit.

 

So ... anyone got a video of p1 lapping Nordschleife in 6:30?
I'm just curious here. (I have seen LaF lapping in 6:32. Seriously) It would be then 2 sec slower than P1. What do you think.
