you are a 208 turbo (without intercooler) owner: your opinion is not reliable... :D

If Im not mistaken the folding keys started in 1985, my friends '85 TR has a folding key and so had my late build 1985 - 328 GTS ('86 first registration date)

another friend of mine's 1984 308 GTS - QV has straight keys...

The folding key started with the Mondial because the key is so easy to hit with your knee. I do not think it spread to other models until the 328 and TR. If memory serves I believe even the 288 had the one piece Neiman key. I seem to recall the Mondial 8 had a guard around the key so maybe the QV Mondial?

I am not so sure about that. I have several from that period still in the envelopes and they are all Lorioli Fratelli on the envelope and A E Lorioli on the back.

    Did John buy that new?

I've got one of these brown ones as well, to go with my '89 328GTS. It would be interesting to know if it came with the car originally or was bought later but one of the previous owners.

I got this beautifully cast metal medallion-style key ring with the car. Looks vintage, but judging from this thread, I guess it isn't the one that came from the factory.

Regarding Neiman keys, my ignition key says "Neiman" but the door key says "Torino". Did both factory keys say "Neiman"?

No, Neiman was the brand doing the ignition key with the steering wheel lock system. Your "Torino" key is correct and matches my '76 key.

I also have one of these, the patina on mine looks older than 2000 though.

My '89 328 came to me with the key ring shown in post 42 and the folding key. I'm not one for paraphernalia (don't own a hat, poster, shirt, or anything with a Ferrari logo other than the car) so I just use a regular round ring for the keys.

Well, he bought it in 1999 but it came only with one key with that keyring and Scott said it's original. So I guess that none of us know although I would tend to side with you and the Lorioli one is period correct for a 1990 car.

By the way, I have a couple of uncut F50 keys that I've been holding onto. I saw one on eBay for $600 the other day. Is that really what they're going for?

You know how Ferrari is. Never say never.

Yikes. I bought a few folding keys and a few of those when they quit selling them. Guess it was a good investment. Along with all my Lorioli rings I guess I should put them somewhere safe.

Not original but really nice. I think you scored. If you ever figure out where they can be had let us know. Looks like a high quality piece.
