That would be a fun project to bring back to life. It has a great story! Wouldn't bother me a bit to have a salvage title on my Enzo.

 

Providing you have enough money to bring it back to life. As for me, I have to sell my 3 homes to get all the cash equity to pay for the repair.

 

if you are handy with a wrench it could be a real bargain!

 

I think I will stop by auto zone on the way home and price some parts out.

 

or sell all your Ferraris.. one super Ferrari is better than 3 regular Ferraris

 

I'd actually rather have three regular Ferraris, just me personally. Nothing wrong with wanting one rossa enzo.

Yeah, but they also claim an enzo is $2.3M. I didn't think they were even close to that muc .

 

Was it the repair bill that made it a total loss or did he start out with a lawyer and make it very clear he was going after diminsished value and loss of use?

 

Perfect for when the wife says "you can only have one project car".

 

That's the insurance companies value. How do you know the owner didn't have an agreed value policy for that amount.

 

Any idea what would be wrong with this? 360 Spider with a current bid of $5000. Salvage title with main damage described as "missing/altered VIN" The car looks great otherwise...

Would it have sold for that new? Definitely not the current value. With altered VIN, I'd guess this one is a theft recovery.

 

Looks pretty from pictures but you would really need to have balls of steel IMO to get in this. You could hedge a little if you can talk to "anyone" about the car. Does anyone recognize the plate emblem?

Just imagining for the Enzo... bondo from walmart, rattle can red paint, some spindles filed down from JC Whitney from a "murican" 70's car. Extra parts from NAPA.

Done. Fixed for $150.
