Big mistake. That means I am going to buy another Ferrari. I have been telling myself for six months that I have enough cars. I am in Austin now. The dealer has a FF demo for $330

Can one really have too many Prancing Ponies? :) Congrats on the new addition, and thank you for supporting the economy of Texas (assuming Austin = Austin, TX and you are in town for the F1)…T

A week at the Four Seasons. How is that for a start. I out bid every Ferrari owner in the world for the UBS FCA cancer fund raiser. So I am working on spending.

It is well known that when you are spending money you are apt to spend yet more on stuff you might not buy otherwise. But hey, who says that's bad.

The FF is a world apart from everything else. But definitely keep the 365GT4 2+2.

I'd say that you, good sir, should demand a welcome letter from the Austin CVB!
:) Again, welcome to Texas and have a lovely stay…T

FF is gone(used green) Algar has only new. Interesting. The pricing at Algar for new is the same as the demo at Boardwalk

Unless you are keen to load up an FF with all kinds of options you should be able to get new for 310-330K. For example you can get stitching, embroidered horse, headliner, forged wheels, calipers and shields, and AFS for 318K in the US. Or you can go for an optioned up demo for about the same or even more. The idea is that you can control your depreciation to a large degree by forgoing options that won't get you much back in resale. Of course if you don't care about depreciation and gotta have stuff ....

Steep drop. An 2012 at $230,000? Or is that a normal price difference?

Figure it out. Buy a 2014 today at 320K. You will drop 15% for the retail-wholesale spread and about 10% per year for depreciation --> in two years it will be worth about 220K wholesale for average mileage. This is the real cost of ownership, so you have to love the car enough to pay for it. I do. My previous point was that you will not get back much more if you option it up.

They all have their charms. I wish I still had my 512BB. But the newer ones frankly are hugely better road cars. If you can handle the finances the FF will light up your whole being.

I do love the 365GT4 2+2. Still lovely after all these years.
Not sure about the automatics in the 400s tho.

I would LOVE to see Mitchell in a shiny new FF. It will be a nice change, the 550 is great, but you will be happy with the upgrade!!

FF is not an impulse buy like other Ferrari cars, it fits in a specific niche. If one has that niche, only the FF will fill it perfectly, everything else will just be a compromise.
