Sorry to hear about your loss Fritz. The French quote is true and yes … it takes time but think back of all the beautiful memories you have. Doesn't fix it all but it certainly helps.

+1000. While it is not my place to recommend to you a new dog, I guess the good and bad of Internet fora such as thus is that people feel comfortable telling people they do not know what they should do.

Dear Mr. d'Orey: if you have even remotely have the heart/time/desire to love a new animal, I implore you to do so. If your country is anything like ours & others - there are probably an obscene number of neglected animals looking for love & companionship. My wife & I adopted an abandoned dog six years ago, and even after my worst day at work, she instantly lifts my spirits by greeting me at the door like I am a conquering hero. Below is my princess on her way back from "spa day" in my 911. I would think any dog would enjoy the backseat of an FF! Whether or not you decide to adopt a new dog, I pray that you will recover quickly from this loss & that your memories of Cappucino will be only happy ones...T

And they help keep you healthy. It is no accident that dogs are brought into hospitals to interact with the sick. It is even a business. Therapy Dogs International As tomc says adopting an animal will be good for both of you. And Fritz, being happier and healthier, your hill climb times will drop. :)

When my Shepherd died, I thought I would.

When I got my next one a month or so later, life came back to me in spades.

    Very good luck Fritz.

Received yesterday a nice letter from Montezemollo participating that he left FERRARI. With the #26 of The official Ferrari Magazine mostly about America.
Thank you Luca! You will be missed...
Hope Ferrari won't become a Fiat or Chrysler.

Sr. d'Orey, I have just found this wonderful thread you have brightened. I have just returned from Italy, Spain & Portugal. We drove from Madrid to Seville then to Portimao then to Lisbon. My wife was right and so are you that Portugal is magnificent. Driving Portugal and the Italian Dolomites gave me a new passion for driving and all that comes with it. I have now moved from wanting a used Ferrari to deciding between an FF or F12. What a blessing to have these choices. I have not been a fan of the FF rear lines but I am maturing (at 63 yrs of age) into a new respect for all the FF offers. I will choose the FF. I am appreciative and respectful of your input for FerrariChat. Thank you for all you have done for those of us who love the sport. Cheers

    Wonderful to see your posts....

So is there any news on a new canine companion???

An FF without a "WOOF" is not the same.. !

    best to Luca.

Class shows! The aristocratic background comes out.

(I also received one. Assume that all purchaser of new Ferraris were on the list)

You will love it. As for the rear lines, it does not conform to tradition or what you think a Ferrari should "look like," necessarily so in order to achieve its practical goals. But I think the Pininfarina did a great job.

Yes, I found and adopted abandoned Gaspar 6 years old. He was left in Algarve by tourists during summer...
He is very thankful, almost as me! Gaspar is wonderful!!! Love him since the first moment I saw him.

Cappuccino will always be missed and revered...

Went with the FF to get him. 620 klms 4 hours round trip. Fantastic car!!!

The FF is deliciously used almost everyday for the last 30 months. What a pleasure to look, to drive, to hear the 12 sound... Best car in the world!!! Thank you FERRARI!

I do think dogs have feelings and love unconditionally their savior...

Cassie is very nice... Nice of you, his savior! My best regards for you both.

Gaspar is really cute and I have it for only 10 days and am in love with this sweet little dog.
Sorry didn't resist, him in is his bed:

Fritz, are you certain it wasn't Carlo driving? (a very bad joke!) ;-)

P.S. those of us who know and have attended les 24 Heures might be very interested in your recollections of that particular race and even, if it is not too painful to recall, the accident.

Fritz // I have a friend who is a WWII vet who just lost his best friend -- a gigantic but gentle female German Shepard. He is heartbroken. Am trying to persuade him to get another companion. Told him your story. Life goes on.
