Why are you sure? : ) In general, all exhausts seek to increase or maintain exhaust gas velocity. Engines need no back pressure. It's just that the ECU must properly adjust, or be reprogrammed to adjust fuel for the increased volumetric efficiency of the engine. Can you get the setup w the capristo tuned? The question also is how dynamic the scud ECU is in terms of adjusting fuel, and any cam adjustments. There are barely any dynos of the car period.
I was referring to my 430 when I had the headers and test pipes and capristo twin sound muffler. Absolutely no back pressure. Car sounded absolutely phenomenal. Screamed like an F1 car. But took off at the lights like an old dog. With the Scudie...the complete Capristo Scuderia system is just perfect! Except for the exhaust pitch which the S Line X Pipe beats hands down. Just reminds me so much of the setup I had on the 430. I want one badly...just not sure how I'd live with it without valves.
I deleted the video I posted yesterday. Adjusted the brightness, here's the new link: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApoNp9AUw4A]RR430 true race car sound on the street! - YouTube[/ame]
I meant to ask Ronnie, but do you mind if I can use that last clip there for my ringtone? Don't want any copyright issues!
Do you know how many db this system is? At say idle, 3500 and then redline. Watched your video comparison to the stock 430 and was amazed. Sounded so much better
Roger; gotcha - makes sense : ) It's interesting - the ECU on my E92 M3 adapts incredibly well to a full exhaust. Many before and after dynos showing big whp gain. Comparable tech 2008/2009 to the Scud I would assume. I'm less inclined to experiment with the scud though right now - I just want it back for one! I definitely want to play with the exhaust down the road though.
Ronnie; Your 430 sounds absolutely amazing! I understand why you said "too loud" when we spoke on thursday. Now lets get some more power out of that 430! singletrack; It plays to the part where you need some back pressure on N/A vehicles. Just opening up the exhaust pipes will not give you the optimal increase in performance. Sure, it will sound great but because of the lack of back pressure the torque has a high chance of falling on its face. Of course, you can always get a tune which will work around that.
Thanks. : ) I get all that though. I was commenting on why he thought this exhaust would not have that issue vs another. I just don't like the term back pressure because people start to believe that engines need some pressure on the exhaust side to run. As you know, this is not the case, just a by product of having to get the exhaust gas out of the engine and down some pipes away from our noses. I have your cats+xpipe on my m3 actually and like the setup : )
Yeah, was too loud with the Fabspeed sport/high-flow cats, I put back the stock cats and it's now perfect, only loud when I floor it.
So am i going to have same as your current loudnes if i go with stock headers (which has cats), Fabspeed catless bypass pipes, and S line exhaust?
Yes, I do not see why it wouldn't pipe diameter is the same and they are both Cat-less Systems. Singletrack; Got any videos of that M3 of yours?
No good ones : ) It also has an Akra on the rear so not sure how interesting it would be for fabspeed ; ) Photoshoot soon though I hope. Maybe I will put the gopro on next track day.

I hope you got your exhaust for free Ronnie! These videos have to be sending massive amounts of people to them. Sounds so good, just like the others.
