You sure that's not July 95? What is your assembly number? You probably have a single fuel pump.

And Mitch, my understanding is the recalls are still honored, so you could have a dealer do it.

2011 Ferrari sold 1750 cars in the USA out of about 7000 production, or 25%. That was reported to be a 20% increase of the previous year. In 2013 they sold 2035 (a record) out or 6922, or 29%.

Mitch, The fuel block recall should still be opened and any dealer will do it free. . Mine was done last year while the PPI was performed. Get it done, otherwise you risk a fire.

Dave, The fuel block recall for the single pump cars is different. There was, as Dr. Bob noted, a different recall for the double pump cars. Totally different issue.

Yes, John. I fully understand that. And, as I said above (look up), the dealers will still honor the recalls. :)

And, the duel fuel pump cars have a line/fitting/rail recall, not fuel block :)

I just added the column listing by state and the total in the registry is 1020. He has some confusing line items at the bottom of that table (foreign state/province/unknown) that I think is skewing that USA total on the left.

So with 2500 cars in NA, you can now do the percentages of your models/transmission off the total built and reasonably apply them to this total and come up with an idea of how many of your body style/trans are available in the NA market.

You could estimate color also I guess to a point.

Can you post your assembly or VIN number? Or a photo of your engine bay?

Yep, that's the single fuel pump and certainly the fuel block recall (done).

Perhaps your car was converted to single from duel at some point?

Or, Perhaps Ferrari flip flopped (doubtful ?) throughout 1995?

Would be interesting to know your VIN or Assembly number...

That appears to be a later type of fuel block.

With so much talk about 355's, as a lowly 348 owner does this perceived increase also apply to 348's since it's basically V1.0 of the 355? So much more positive 348 press lately has also helped on desirability. Just curious, shoot away

    Very interesting....

The recall (lines/fitting/rail) ended at VIN 102458. Check your build date again when you get a chance. I know a 95 with a sept 94 build date and the VIN is lower than your car.

The fuel block recall (which your car has) covered VIN's (within range) 101818 to 117039

    See the registry:

    Ferrari 355 Registry - View

States build date Oct 95 and Assembly number 20598 which would be a single fuel pump...

Especially when you take into account the production numbers are so much less for the 348's that it would be a natural progression for this to happen.

Is 95 correct, or is it 94 (probably 95).

And no worries, Pete. We all make plenty of mistakes but mine are from Vodka not whiskey :)

And, all I was trying do understand was if Ferrari flip flopped.

    She classifiied as a 95.
I THINK the cut off date for a car to remain classified in the same year as it was built is September??
    but Im not sure....

    I'm sure it's a 95. You can have a Sept. 94 build date for the MY 95.

Actually by US regulations a car sold on or after Jan 2, 19xx can be declared as a model year 19xx+1.

Which makes it even more interesting. Hypothetically you could buy a model year 1995 on Jan2, 1994 which pretty much would have had to have been built some time in 1993.

I couldn't agree more. Impact people would agree over here that the 355 will go again next year.
