Absolutely stunning and all original. Factory original paintand interior. Matching numbers engine and chassis. 18,5XX original miles since new. California car most of its life. Has factory books & tools. Runs & drives great. Rare oppurtunity to acquire an original '60's Ferrari built as it was meant with all original patina. Perfect candidate for any concours preservation class.

The color is called Nocciloa Metallizzato or chestnut metalic.
Its actually a great color for the car. Being the factory original lacquer paint it doesn't have the heavy metallic look like the modern paints do but almost like a slight pearl look.
Car surily doesn't look to be nearily 50 years old.

Actually I think you mean "nocciola", and it translates as hazelnut.

Ha. Didn't everything sell back in 8/13 for a fraction of today's value?

It was a long time ago, just curious if its the same car.
If you can figure out how to do it, I'm definitely in for going back in time and going on a buying spree ;)

Maybe I am getting my nuts confused.
I have known the car for over 25 years. This car has had 3 long term owners and has never before been publically offered for sale.
The present owner has owned the car for over 10 years.

I am sure when the market corrects in a few years you'll be able to but it for 500k.

When did you become such an expert on the vintage Ferrari market and pricing?

Back in 1981 I ran into a guy that was good friends with Michael Sheehan. At the time he ran a Ferrari restoration shop in Costa Mesa, California. He took me out there one day and introduced me. I saw a 330 Gtc that was for sale on his lot. It needed paint and Interior but could be bought for 10k. I didn't have 10k at that time so I passed. I have been following the Vintage Ferrari market ever since.

So what you're saying is you have followed the Ferrari market so closely in almost 34 years that you can predict the ups and downs of the marketplace to the point where you can call the market and forecast prices in someone else's (a subscribed user no less) For Sale thread but somehow you've never bought a Ferrari and you're now shopping for your first that's nowhere near the value or historical significance as this car.

If I had the same confidence in calling the marketplace and pricing that you have shown every time you choose to poop all over someone else's For Sale thread by telling potential buyers that the subject car is overpriced or that they should wait because they could buy the same car cheaper later, you could bet your behind that I would be a jillionaire with all of the Ferraris I had bought and sold because I knew the market so well.

Let the guy sell his car. Serious buyers with cash in hand will determine what's the correct price, now and for the future. This is true for all the cars in the classified section.

Thanks for a great post. Too many people trolling in the classifieds lately for sure.
