    Red 599 driving westbound on M-59 (Auburn Hills area) this morning about 10:25 AM near ??? Crooks Road - somewhere near there. Sure looked neat.

    might as well take a belt sander with 100 grit paper to 'clean it up' :)
    those things are death on painted finishes in the best of circumstances

    Oh yeah I took the tunnel. On the way back. The hundred cars waiting in line on the canada side can attest to that fact! It was glorious.

    A Bianco Fuji 458 Italia with yellow calipers and tinted windows was just cruising up Woodward. The car looked great in the setting sun of a 25 degree afternoon.

    When I lived in Michigan in th early 70s I used to hear hi name as a mechnic with a big barn--guys would leave their cars there for long term work and I think he bought a few including a .
    1955 Ferrari 250 Europa GT TdF (Tour de France) I was wondering if there's any good tales ofcars he bought for a song because circumstances in the owner's lives changed (such as a designer being posted overseas) ...

    Yeah, I know Fchat didn't exist then but you were probably still spottin

    the only two unusual Ferraris I saw there in the Sixties was white Ferrari with tailfins parked outside Viegil Exner's Woodward Ave; studio; may have been the one Gary Wales owned
    and a 410 SA maroon in color at Bill Markley's shop in Troy or Birmingham. I remember his mechanic would put hand-made bearings in it andthey would last 5 minutes

    but as to what I want to know about in the 60s, did anyone ever see the following cars bought for GM at orders of Bill Mitchell? Like to hear stories of the cars; what they sold for when they were done with them

    -D-type Jag (Harley Earl wanted to use if a basis for experimental Corvette)
    -ATS 2500
    -Porsche 904GTS
    -Mangusta-Chevy
    -Abarth
    -Ghibli (maybe DeLorean bought one on company finds too)
