I've started doing so over the last year or so. I'll lather up my face with the same soap I use everywhere, and shave by feel - no mirror. I use a Gillette Fusion 5-blade disposable. I'll then just trim the sideburns when I get out, in front of the mirror.

    Your method?

I use a Mach 3 in the shower and shave under the running water. No shaving cream used as it would wash off right away. It's the closest shave I can get without razor burn and water has been better than shaving cream for me. Gave up on using cream years ago.

No, but will only shave if I'm showering straight afterwards, that way I don't need aftershave and won't get an itchy face. I only use shaving gel before shaving and lotion after the shower (and that's only to avoid "your face looks dry!" comments). Cheap lotion, Nivea or L'Oréal shaving gel (feels smoother than Gillette), simple Gillette Mach 3 Turbo blade with quality aftermarket holder in piano black (because the original looks dreadful).

    Keep it simple.

I do. I have one of those giant car wash showers with some shelves in the corner. There is a mirror on the shelf and I get the cleanest shave you can imagine.

What kind of mirror do you use? Issues with fogging and/or clarity?

You can just get a fig proof mirror at any CVS. I just rinse it quick and I'm good to go.

Y'all are braver men than I, shaving w/o a mirror! l shave over bathroom sink, with mirror, using soap/water & whatever disposables my wife buys by the ton @ Costco. Twice a week, if I can get away with it, more if the boss complains...T

No I don't because of the designs. If I go clean shave I will but that rarely happens

No, I shower at night. Going to bed with the grunge of the day is just nasty.

Some shower mirror I bought at Bed Bath and Beyond. It sticks to the wall (glass in my case) with a few medium sized suction cups. It's even got a little shelf to hold my razor. If it does fog I just wipe it and it's clean enough to shave with.

I have shaved in the shower for as long as I can remember, 30+yrs at least. I wash first allowing the hot soap and water to soften my beard so shaving is last. I use a Gel, Bic disposables and no mirror.

I use to, but about six months ago, started to shave after my shower due to the drought.

    Average shower: Two minutes.
Shower + Shave: Five to seven minutes.

The savings is around 15 gallons per day or about 5,000 gallons a year......that's 10 hot tub fills!

+1. Texas is in same boat as Cali, drought-wise and for some places in this state for a lot longer. Hence, I hope you guys & gals that shave in the shower have (or can get) something akin to a pause button on your shower heads. Actually, not a bad idea regardless of what you're up to in the shower! I bought shower heads with a pause-flow button years back, and so I can conveniently take what my uncles called a Navy shower:

Weirdly, it takes me 2-5 mins top to shave my head (i'm bald). But should i grow a beard of a goatee, it takes me easily additional 10 mins to 15 mins.

I'm using Schick Quattro, titanium blades. It hardly cuts, and lasts every long.
