For us in the UK with 348's I don't think there was what could be termed an 'original fit' radio as such, so I decided to fit a Becker of the period or thereabouts (previously mine had a cr@ppy Kenwood 'thing' fitted). I've now got to work out the wiring, trying to determine what was part of the car from factory and where it becomes what was bodged in to feed the Kenwood...doh.
My 355 came equipped with the OEM Sony XR-F20 radio head unit and CDX-F20 6 disc CD changer. But it apparently it doesn't work, does not power on. Is it on a separate fuse? How can I troubleshoot?
there were no original radios for 95 96 97 in the USA..they did not come with them..only european cars
I just yanked out my 1997 era alpine and replaced it with a JVC. The nice thing is that I am able to answer my phone calls with the press of a button and Bluetooth my Pandora. My passengers seem to enjoy the remote control that came with it too. Good luck with your install enjoy the tunes don't forget to bump the Jamiroquai album called travelling without moving. Great driving music and not to mention there's a Ferrari logo on the album cover. Cheers!
Me too - same as above. I never listen to the radio while driving - the motor provides all the music that I need But when I checked it a month or two ago everything worked fine. Today, after a nice drive, it did not power on. Checked the 20 Amp fuse and it is good. Any (troubleshooting) advice would be greatly appreciated. Not a pure concours car, but it's won the four concours that I've entered it in, so I am not looking for an aftermarket replacement.
