Local Ferrari dealer says for the last 2 months of allocations there have been no Speciales at all. So far the dealer has only delivered 4 with none in the pipeline.

Time is running out and I'm still trying to get a car.

My dealer is out of Speciale allocations and there aren't any more. I have an allocation for a Speciale A for May build next year and all those allocations were pretty much gone even before the car was announced.

My dealer told me a few days ago he's VERY confident that he'll get me an allocation for a Speciale soon. He acknowledged that time is running out and at some point ferrari will stop production of 458 and switch over to the replacement car. But he is very confident that he'll get an allocation for me... I hope he's right. I'm sweating bullets.

Off to the factory to spec mine next week with a friend speccing his too. I heard the book closed a month ago? Could be wrong and UK allocation will no doubt work differently to US. Good luck.

it looks like US demand is a large multiple of supply. Perhaps this is why Marchionne wants to increase production.
In Europe there were still orders being taken a couple of weeks back and there are a lot of Speciale with delivery miles being offered at or below list…Instead of increasing production, perhaps Ferrari should re-allocate more cars to the US
A friend of mine got a Speciale A allocation a few days ago which makes me think that they held some cars back for VIP clients…I specced my Speciale A in August and I was told the car was sold out, but obviously that is not the case…Perhaps it is the difference of the originally announced 458 cars and the 499 they said they'd make after Paris

Ordered my Coupe in the UK two weeks ago. I was told that due to it being a high spec I would get a build, and others would not due to a low spec.....

That might be about the dealer. I asked my dealer about ordering low spec and he told me that they were given a target for added spec on all speciale orders but that they were already above that so they would accept a low spec order. As it turns out, I'll probably be ordering a higher spec than I planned. That's the internet for you.

Please read my post from today in the following thread (started on Sept 12th):

    "Speciale Sold Out/ 458 prices following 458M"

My dealer called me yesterday that he got a confirmed 2015 Speciale allocation for me for a Feb/March build. Need to have my specs in by Monday. Am very excited.

As far as I know the book hasn't been closed on the US market just yet. The dealers seem to be getting a month to month allocation and am told they will through the June build. I know I'm in the computer on the wait list, but so are another dozen folks or so.

Sounds about right!, I'm sitting at around £245K - £255K, and if I get all I want it's nearer £265K, Ouch

Spreadsheets and man-math rule, I'll probably end up at £250K....

I just got word from my dealer. He got an allocation for a Speciale and my car is in production for a February build and March delivery! Rosso Scuderia with NART stripe :) I was going to choose yellow but at the last minute I went red.

720 and Dustman, what dealerships are you associated with? You both have SoCal listed.

Just curious from the completely different responses? I deal with Ferrari of Beverly Hills and they are fantastic.

+458S, I agree with Robert. They now have Ferrari of: Beverly Hills, Silicon Valley and their new dealership Los Angeles. Not certain if there are anymore Speciale allocations but calling James or Eddie (both are great) can't hurt. Happy hunting.

US demand is highly volatile, Ferrari got burned bad in 08 09 when suddenly people were backing out of new orders and dealers were flooded with near new cars...

In the US it's always hard to tell if someone is wealthy or just living on credit. When downturns happen they are almost always violent to the downside.
