I respect Vettel for getting in and consciously wanting to get his hands dirty which is what will be required to get this team into champ contending status again. Seb has nothing to lose at this point so I have nothing but respect for the decision. Pat Fry is a sharp fellow as is Matiacci, but their worth is going to be out to the test beginning by about say mid 2015. Vettel may have pulled a Hamilton and we don't know it yet, though incredibly tough to say with this one.

Meanwhile Mclaren may just yet be building a monster for 2015 with Honda and Prodromou. That wild card gives me pause more than anyone else at the moment.

But as long as they do not talk about you there is actually no reason to take it personal, you can´t change it anyway...The above written for example is just the preview on what will be written in the next months but I doubt that it will affect me. So maybe you should be more relaxed as well if someone does not share your admiration for LH :)

As far as we know, McLaren have been working on their 2015 car for nearly 2 years. This year's car was never designed as a proper contender. 2015's car should be very strong. Ferraris 2015 car looks to be in trouble already - so which driver is making the smart move?!

I don't buy that for a minute.....Allison is a very capable guy, the wind tunel problems are solved, there is no reason "666" won't be a good car. I'm pretty sure it will be a competitive machine, but unfreezing the engine will play a big part on just how much...

I wouldn't double down on ferrari for a season or two guys. They have well over a second to find, and that's not just engine wizardry. If ferrari are within half a second of Mercedes on a qualy lap them I would call that a big win.

As for Honda, they are a full year down on data. I believe Mclaren will have built a solid car but I'm not expecting them to be competing for poles for at least a while. Strangely, they've just fired a bunch of people too so who knows how things will really shake out.

A good thing (For his career)? That way his constant naysayers won't have the ''he jumped in the best car again'' card to play. Rather, if Ferrari champions in 2016, he can get some credit at least (just like he fully deserves for his Red Bull years).
+1 As far as I know, the part of the engine that can't be changed is quite irrelevant to make a serious power jump. I believe Kimi has been working throughout the year to put in valid input to get the car to work and James can design the car using those parameters. It's going to be tough to beat the top currently, but James has designed some seriously good cars over the years so no reason why it's ''impossible''.

I've been saying for a few months now that Mclaren can be a strong dark horse next year but I keep getting laughed at because Honda will certainly suck and Mclaren can't build cars. Glad to have you on board, haha.

In some situations, it actually depends mostly on your own frame of mind; a well known french writer of theatre, Georges Courteline, once had this now famous saying:
“Passer pour un idiot aux yeux d’un imbécile est une volupté de fin gourmet”,
which can be translated in English more or less as
“Being taken for an idiot by an imbecile is a vouptuous gourmet’s delight”.

I must admit reminding this in some situations cheers me up from time to time...

    Rgds
