Came accross this thread on a gtr owners club website, seems like the car is not very well looked after, paint on parts of the roof looks scorched, it says that the car has done 10,000 desert miles, anyone know anything about this, does the picture of the interior show damage to the roof or are the rivets normal?

Wow that is a lot of work.

Well the car is a Perspex window car.

Please keep us updated on its progress.

Is it a German car? I know one in Germany many years ago with a green stripe that was raced a bit.

What's the white roadster in the back of one of the pictures? Looks like a 166 MM Touring barchetta?

If you google 'f40 in bits, me in tears ' it's on a gtr owners club forum, says it's in a guys local detailers for work, definately looks like a lot of work, would love to know where it was left that the roof got scorched, looks abit weird with the rivets wtc around the doors and what looks like fillers?

I have a feeling those photos are quite old, seem to recall seeing pics of this car quite a while ago in a similar state, I dont think the roof is scorched, its been primed, flatted back and mist coated by the looks of it.
